Agree with the last comment. Quite a decent campsite. Definitely not the worst in Namibia. It is expensive (440 now), but so are all other campsites at parks here. WiFi was decent, and available much earlier than a comment below suggested. Sites are quite closeby, so not much privacy, and lots of binding lights at night.

Much better than expected after reading some of the comments. Ablutions were clean, swimming pool was working and we used it lots. Only issues were some of the sinks blocked up and odd lights not working. The canyon view is spectacular. Be aware of jackals and baboons coming into the camp at night.

This is a NWR camp inside of the NP.
Two internationals 880pn for camping plus 350 Park fees.
Restaurant and shop available. Two pools. water is drinkable (not from the pool).

your day begins at 4.30am when the generator is starting, that's ridiculous because they have a very big solar field!
half a hour later the baboons raiding the trash bins because there is no cover, and they spread all the trash and plastic around.
but the lady at the reception told me we are not allowed to feed the baboons. because NWR does :)

Nice spot, but our least favourite campsite in 4 weeks Namibia. Wifi never worked and also the card machine did not work. Babboons might come into the canp, so keep car & tent closed.

The viewpoints are great. The campsite itself has electricity after 5PM and a noisy generator is switched on at 4AM. The camp spots are nice and ablution okay. Not all showers were hot. We did have warm water for washing up and there is laundry spot, but that basin was very dirty.

We went to Ai-Ais with a nice big warm swimming pool. We also stopped at Cañon Roadhouse and wish we would have stayed there with internet, a nice bar, shop, ATM, fuel and friendly (new) owners/managers. For nature and viewpoints on 10km from the campsite, Hobas is the best.

We had a pleasant stay overall: clean pool, shaded trees, free wifi good enough for Whatsapping and best Campsite to be if you want to enjoy sunset at the edge of the canyon. Price is indeed 400 NAD for up to 4 people IF you're SADC. For foreigners it's 401 NAD PER PERSON (Yes, there's a one there! 😆). That's according to the lady at reception... We paid one day of Park fees on top of that. No MTC signal and hot water for shower wasn't working indeed. BEWARE OF SCORPIONS! We found 2 huge poisonous yellow scorpions at our campsites. It can be deadly for children. Wear good shoes at night.

One of my least favourite camp sites so far in Africa.

After a long drive on a hot day I stupidly paid without thinking about the price he had just charged me… 800$N for two people (one camp site)! As soon as I realised I went back to query it as I thought it was 400$ per campsite for four people. He said because I’m not Namibian/SADC it is 400$ per person. A total rip off, and they didn’t even feel bad about it.

The campsite itself was cramped, everyone parked next to each other with loud kids and could hear people chatting in their tents. Then the generator started at 5am. No hot water in showers, wifi didn’t work. Got such little sleep I was too tired to even enjoy the canyon.

I’d recommend the roadhouse instead.

400 $ per camp site for up to 4 ppl made me pay 400 $ for one night although I was alone. WiFi did not work and no hot water, wo showers were rather cold. Otherwise a beautiful place with two pools and some shade, very close to the canyon. Park fee was an additional 200 $ just for myself and my car (you have to pay two days if you are staying overnight)

WE paid only 475 Ndollars for five adults ans two cars.
WE paid also 875 (150 ppn + cars) for the Park, but you cannot go to thé camp if toi don't go to the Park !

400 N$ per campsite is a bit steep for 2 ppl, but you're allowed to have 4 cars at one site. There's an additional park fee to be paid (350N$ for 2 ppl) that allows you to visit the fish river canyon 24hrs a day. The old abblution facilities are run down, but the new ones (2x3 showers and 2x2 toilets) are fine. There was hot water when we were there. Electricity and braai facilities at every site. There's also wifi, but only near the reception. Didn't see any baboons

You can of course only pay the 150 pppd if you only want to go to the viewpoint and not camp.

Restaurant... that’s an over statement. Very basic with no menu and you can either choose to eat what available on ‘today’s menu’ or not. Very very basic and expensive.

Shop, curios and alcohol that’s basically it.

Campsite. Needs maintenance in a big way.
Often no hot water.
Lights in bathroom broken / hanging from ceiling.
Broken toilet seats.

For what you’re paying is hugely overpriced.

I was quite pleasantly surprised by this campsite. Lots of shade, all very clean and tidy, ablutions quite nice and modern looking. I think all sites have power, but you need quite a long cable to reach the socket (we used 15m!), and it switches off at midnight so is not available 24hrs. Pool and restaurant also look nice, although we didn't try them.
Very expensive though, so only worth staying here if you want to get into the park early or stay late, otherwise you'd probably be better to stay out at Roadhouse where it's a little bit cheaper.

We were staying here for one night cause we wanted to see sunset and sunrise in Fish River Canyon. Campsite is ok, mostly in shadow from trees, not every spot has electricity, some have water and braai. There is restaurant, small shop and little pool. Generally nothing special but there is not many options around.

Nice Campsite with many sites and each has braai facilities, tap and a light. If you have a long power cord there is also electricity. The shared ablutions are good and clean. You can enter the park really early because there is no gate. The WiFi code is still the same but it didn't work when we were there.

Exactly what is already positively stated. Small shop where they sell postcards, cold drinks and chocolats. Small restaurant where they sell meat and chips. Small swimmingpool. They actually do have WIFI but ran out of vouchers at the moment.

You have to pay the fee for the National Park as well to enter the campingsite: Nam$80,- pp and Nam$10,- per car for 24 hours + we paid Nam$340,- for 2 people camping.

Campsite next to Fish River Canyon ticket office (but 10 km from canyon itself). Most pitches under leafy trees. Pitches are small and close together for Namibian standards. Each pitch has an own braai, tap, picnic set and electricity when the generator runs. New ablution block was under construction when we visited. Clean, small swimming pool, basic kiosk
