Namibia
Swimming pool, safe, good facilities. Very clean and organized! Good place to stay for the last night before you turn home. The tents are great!!
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We have camped in the area they have designated for it, so we cannot talk about the rooms. Even so, we believe that they are very comfortable and well equipped. The environment is very nice, clean and the staff is very nice. The camping area is spacious, VERY well equipped with an awning that provides shade, a light and a water outlet, and a garbage can. The only problem we see is that the road passes very close and the cars make noise. In any case, we totally recommend it. The price seemed right to us: 339NAD for 2 people, 1 night
Report Check-InExcellent facilities, as described.
Bit of a walk from the campsite to the restaurant, and despite their promises we couldn’t get WiFi at the campsite. Only other negatives were the road/airport noise (bring ear plugs!) and the insane number of flies - possibly worse than anywhere else I’ve been!
We will be back next time we are in town though, this place is just so much calmer than Urban Camp! N$170 pppn.
Correction: pets are NOT welcome!! We only found out after staying here several times for multiple days and were told not to return with our dogs. Too bad. Urban camp allows pets though.
Report Check-InWe preferred this place over Urban Camp! Very calm and spacious, not so many tourists around. Plus it’s cheaper! Dogs are welcome too :)
Report Check-Instandard campsites are 339$ for 1 car 2 personnes with wifi at the camp!!!. very clean, hot water, very quiet. the restaurant is extremely cheap and very good, around 140-200$ for meat plate, pizza around 100-150$, cocktails 60$. they also have self catering Chalet for 1300$ incl a huge breakfast buffet, which is very good value. this place might not have the déco or the vibe of the urban camp but is much cheaper, highly recommended.
Report Check-InLuxury campsite could be great but luxury, for me, means also silence. And it is TOO MUCH noisy.... Even for 1 night, avoid this place or chose a site far from the road.
Report Check-Invery big lodge with nice chalets, restaurant, swimming pool and braai areas
Report Check-InThey have two categories of campsite - standard and luxury. The three luxury campsites cost N$455 pn which is a fair price for two people for what is on offer. Each of the luxury sites have very nice, modern own ablution blocks with shade cloth covered parking for your vehicle next to it which is high enough for most rigs including those with roof top tents. The wifi at these sites was not working well whilst we were there. Also during the day aircraft noise from the nearby regional airport might bother those staying for more than one night. These sites are also a bit close to the road and the traffic noise can be an issue for light sleepers. Two nice pools to swim in a few minutes walk away, pleasant check in staff.
Report Check-In317 for 2 people. very clean and new shared ablutions with hot water, a bath, 3 big showers and toilet paper. a kitchen. 2 pools to swim. shade by trees, garbage bins, brai and electricity, wifi on the camping place. friendly staff. if you can, ask c1,2 or 3 because they are the nearest from the ablutions block.
the only problem the noise from the road but you are very closed to the city and the airport !
Great campsite for a city! Campsite 1-3 are next to the river, with trees instead of a tent for shade, ideal for bigger rigs. The ablutions are perfect. We came without reservation, the campsite was nearly empty, but the chalets seemed to be fully booked. Nice restaurant. We will use this place again. We paid 951,- 2p3n. Good value for that price!
Report Check-InWell organised camp and lodge, with both tented and self camp options. Shaded campsite built for car with rooftop tent shade.
Very well run park, access to pool, bar, restaurant, wifi.
Very close to airport, and right next to highway so noise from traffic may be a bother to some. The camp/ park is literally in the city, so very convenient for a quick stopover
No restrictions on large vehicles! We were here with our MAN truck camper three times and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Price still N$ 150 ppn. Very good restaurant, Arebbush also organizes a favorable transfer to the "Grove Mall".
Report Check-InWe stayed two nights before we left Namibia by plane. This is a very nice and well organized place. Also convenient to get ready for the departure, such as packing, washing clothes, making bookings (fast WiFi).
Report Check-InThis place has 7 Camp Sites for camping cars. They have never been eliminated! This must be a misunderstanding.
Report Check-InThis place is very luxurious for a campsite. We were with our overlander but took the tent with bathroom and airco , very cheap as it costed less than the campsite in Etosha!! For your last stay when you fly back to your home it is a
perfect stay. Restaurant is 👍🏽. Pools are the cleanest I have seen in Namibia!
Fine and safe place to stay while my car is at the garage to get some things done. You can get your laundry done and relax after almost 4 weeks mostly bush camping.
Report Check-InThe price has gone up to $150, seemed everywhere I go the price has gone up, so I whinged and they offered me an over 60s discount! Yay! The place is lovely, the restaurant nice, staff wonderful and while there is noise from planes and traffic it is to be expected when this close to the city. Really a good stop in Windhoek.
Report Check-InThere has been a major increase in the level of noise coming from the road here over the last year. The noise is disturbing until almost midnight and restarts before dawn.
This is unfortunate as this has been our preferred in-town campsite over the years, but it's now so bad that we are leaving after one night in spite of having already paid for two.
Very well organised campsite. Ablutions spotless. They do have 3 luxury campsites and 7 normal campsites on sand between bushes with shared ablution. Free WiFi (I couldn't pick it up at the campsite), pool area, campsites with electricity, watertap and braidrum.
A bit noisy from the street and the nearby airport.
140ND per person for the normal campsite
Only had luxury campsites available at 405NAD for 2 persons per night. As we were meeting friends there we took it. Excellent spacious private facilities, good WiFi at the campsite, good restaurant. Luxury campsite 1 & 2;are quite close to the main road, 1 has better privacy.
It appears that staff actively trying to push the luxury campsites rather than the normal ones, it may be worth insisting to get the cheaper ones.
Huge area with bungalows and campsites, well maintained, nice ablutions with high water pressure, sites have large sun shade, water, braai and electricity, close to road so rather noisy, good value restaurant (eg huge game schnitzel 90N$/5,50€), free wifi at restaurant, pool, friendly staff, no other overlanders and rather convenient than charming, 125N$ pp (7,50€)
Report Check-InLarge property with bungalows and around 20 campsite pitches. Very good ablutions, even a bath tub. Sadly our dog wasn't allowed. Next to the small airport so you get the noise from small aero planes ánd the very busy main road.
Report Check-InSwimming pool, safe, good facilities.WARNING: thieves are targeting overlanders at shopping malls, we were robbed and our friends too at two different locations!!!!
