Report Check-In

We stayed one night in our car (14000 c for 2 people for the night and access to the thermal baths). We really enjoyed the baths, we had them to ourselves during the day (some locals came in the evening). The place is wonderful (beautiful stone bassins next to the river). We had dinner and breakfast there (traditional, good but nothing special). There is a toilet and an outside shower. Use waze to get there!

Report Check-In

Great place albeit muddy in the rainy season. The thermal springs are warm, not hot. The owners are very nice. There is no communal kitchen, bathrooms and showers are clean. Cold water showers. Chickens are up at 4:30 every morning. In the river just down from the hot springs there is a natural waterslide that is used a lot in the dry season. We didn't get to use it because the water was too high. There is a little tourism here, mostly we had the springs to ourselves. There are some locals who come for a bit of breakfast and conversation. Friendly dog on-site and loves to play with other animals. DO NOT USE GOOGLE MAPS TO GET HERE!!! It tooks us on what we have dubbed the "extreme adventure" road with landslides, thick, deep suck your shoe off and sink your maxx tracks mud. The owners say to use Waze for directions. 6,000 colones to camp with 3 people and RTT and 3500 colones per person for hot springs.

Lovely place to spent a night. We had the thermal pools for ourselves which we could use the afternoon, night and morning. Also has toilets, shower, place to sit/eat all for 15.000 for two persons including to camp for the night. Definitely would recommend to go here and relax!

Information of the owners of Eco Termales Quepos
Welcome on the country side of Costa Rica. We are located in the small village Dos Bocas. We are a small family business and live a bit in the middle of nowhere.
IMPORTANT don't use Google Maps. You can use Waze and Maps.me.
Make sure to drive to highway 34. Drive to the village Hatillo (area Dominical). In Hatillo, look for the soda La Unica. In front of the soda you'll see our sign and it is 8 km from here (about 30-40 minutes).
We are open every day of the year. Camping is 5000 Colones per tent per night. With one night the entrance for the hot springs is 3000 Colones per person, with two nights it is 4000 Colones per person. The kitchen is open until 6PM (we might close the kitchen early on the 24th and 25th of December, check our Facebookpage). We serve typical Costa Rican food and for breakfast (between 7 and 9 o'clock) we can serve pancakes.
You'll camp close to the hot springs and restaurant/bathrooms and within 80m of the house of the family. There is an outside shower, wifi and you can charge your phone in the restaurant. There is no cell signal from Hatillo to our village.
We highly recommend you to arrive before it gets dark (6PM). We appreciate it if you take your garbage with you, there is no one that recollects it here.
A reservation is not necessary. If you have questions you can always contact us through Facebook.

If you need a break from the beach, this is the place. Very nice owners and very calm during the week. On Monday the vegetable guy delivers his produce to the restaurant and you can buy from him.

No problem to reach with our 2WD Camper, even after a downpour.

Walk from Campground/Parking Lot to thermal pools is 20 seconds with nice view of a wild section of the river.

Stayed 2 nights and maybe it will be a third.

Really beautiful, the owners were very kind! It was 5000 for the campervan and 4000 to get in the thermal pools. Beautiful location away from the road and noise. Outside shower and clean toilets. At night you see a lot of stars. Perfect spot with very good prices. Also very good homemade food. We totally recommend it

Good sized campsite right beside the Termales. They have their own hot springs which make this place a must. A simple place with restaurant, clean toilets and outdoor shower. There are trails that handrail the river and lead some to some impressive natural pools that will most likely be all yours as this place is quiet. A hidden gem in the hills.

The owners can speak English, Dutch and of course Spanish. They are really welcoming and will make your stay as comfortable as possible. They took us for a tour upriver to another sulphur spring and told us about the area. They really care and cook great food.

The hot springs are amazing. We stayed two nights and got in 3 times. At night they lit it up with candles and was super romantic.

Can’t recommend this site enough.
