price has gone up slightly. 195mxn per night for tenting. mixed dorm quoted at 300mxn+ I was just staying in my van. The town of Bacalar is really neat with good vibes

Costs 190 pesos each and has noise from the bar in front all night.
We do not recomend. You are obligated to eat tje breakfast. Even when you have your own structure.
High cost, noisy and not friendly.

Nice vibe but not a lot of space or leveled ground where to park our rig so headed to Cocalitos instead.

We stayed here in a 24 ft RV and we payed 150 pesos per person the night. The space for the rv was not too big, but was ok. You have bathroom, cold shower, breakfast, and wifi. I would stay again here for sure.

Terrible place, the worst we stayed in Mexico. It's 140pp now.
At the beginning we were told that there are four dogs here and they don't take responsibility if they do anything to our child! As it was already late we decided to stay anyway.
Staff was extremely rude! When I asked for a lighter to turn on a stove I was told to go and buy it and if I don't like that I can leave and find other place to stay.
There is only one shower for all camping! Even though it wasn't wery crowded at the moment it was always occupied. Cold water only. After 8pm it was blocked and the water was not going down...
Toilets not very clean. No soap to wash hands.
If you are young backpacker buying trips and renting paddle they are kind but for overlanders with limited budget... I'm sorry.
The last thing - there are four dogs on the property and they poo. In the camping area...

We came here because we needed WiFi and laundry service (which is a few blocks further on the road). It was our worst camping experience in Mexico. These reviews are always snapshots, but when we were there it was just not good at all. The place is a real populair backpackers spot, nicely located at lake Bacalar, but they put way to many people in too little space. The one shower was very dirty also for Mexican standards (think small wigs of hair everywhere, smelling like urine) and waterpressure was too low to even brush your teeth. The kitchen is nice, but was very dirty too so we did not use it. WiFi was fast, so that is a plus. I guess this place is nice when not too crowded, but when we get back to lake Bacalar, we will stay at one of the other campsites located at the lake. Paid 240 per night for dry camping with two people and a camper car.

Location has a great vibe. We loved it. A lot of backpackers around.
Internet is stable and fast. Toilets are so-so, shower just drips. They have very limited space for RVs. 1-2 spots maybe. We paid 120mxn per person and it included a great breakfast!

Not too busy in the rainy season. We were the only tent in the back of the building, with several tents out front by the lake. Paid $240 pesos/night for two of us using our own tent.

Fine place to camp while exploring the Bacalar area. The hostel's electricity had been out for three weeks and counting when we were there. Cool private dock and hammock area. SUPs and kayaks were at the affiliated hostel, and not easily accessible from here. Still a good place to stay, with a fun community of young backpackers!

100 MXP for camping - To be honest the place is a bit of a mixed deal. The camping is good and the spot is fantastic, but there are a good deal of drawbacks. Out of all the toilets at the hostel only one has a seat and it is inside for the dorms. The hostel is also frequently overbooked and overfilled, with people having to sleep on mattresses on the floor on the porch or in all the hammocks that are meant to chill out in. There is also not nearly enough place to sit for so many people and lots of the available seats are often taken up by staff. Even with these drawbacks, it is a good place, and the lake is amazing with beautiful sunrises. They have lots of brand new stand up paddle boards and kayaks for rent and the wifi is available nearly everywhere---

Nice Place for MXN 100 per Person, breakfast, wifi included. We did not stay here though because the ground was not even enough and it would have to stay in the driveway instand of the Grass. That is reserved for tent Camping. You can Rent kayaks and Equipment for a lower rate if you stay there. We stayed at the municipal area 150m further down the road which we really enjoyed and recommend.

We pay 100 pesos per camper. Nice place! Good vibre! In front of the lake. Shower, toilete, kitchen, wifi. Paddle boards for free. Hostel and camping. /// pagamos 100 pesos por día por camper. 1.5 blocks south of the fortress in Bacalar. Small rigs and tents only. 100 pesos per person. Run by an English speaking Argentinian. Very nice, right on the water. Swim off the dock. Has kitchen you can use. Paddle boarding available. Great vibe.
