Description

Really nice drive out to this spot... we were hunting for Denali views and there are several spots on the way here that were great (with views) but alas taken by hunters... we landed here by a creek as it was getting late... there is a “road closed” sign early on once you hit dirt but there is a good amount of traffic out here... I believe it is closed in winter...

The road to get here would be sooo beautiful if it wasnt covered in the worst waste of this society, loosers of loosers - hunters...

Gorgeous spot in the tundra type environment. road was very rough with big potholes and ruts. I have a lifted Tacoma and just took it slow, engaged 4x4 in one spot with deeper mud but probably wasn't needed. This exact spot was taken so I crossed the fast flowing creek and found several other fantastic spots on the other side.

Great spot way off the beaten path. 31 miles from the highway out Petersville road. Easy to find using GPS coordinates. This is in the recreational mining area so there are a few folks looking for gold. We panned a little...didn't get rich.
Road in is paved for several miles, good gravel for several miles, then rough and rocky with potholes the last couple miles. No phone signal. We stayed 2 days in a big truck camper.

Great place with 350 deg views of mountains including Denali. The road in is a bit rough in spots but doable with pickups. Early summer might find it muddy. Disregard the Road Closed sign, it's just for winter. No cell service.

Lots of miners in the area running around on quads. There were two other camps setup here when we visited.
