Description

We stay here for a week. There are a lot of RV along the Riverside Rd, from the General Grant National Memorial. There is a police patrol looking around.
You have restrooms on te Park Clermont Playground (behind of Grant National Memorial) and the Memorial visitor center.
It’s a really safe place but a little noise.
The subway is nearly.
Check the cleaning days of the street.
In fact, you can park on any street in New York (except downtown), just check the street cleaning day.

Honestly ? This was probably one of the nicer places I’ve parked. No one gave damn. I did stealth park just to be on the safe side. Stayed 2 nights. No issues. No tickets. Left Monday morning. I’d stay there again.

Spent the night here from Friday till Sunday. It was pretty hard to find a empty spot for our van but managed to park after a few attempts. I didn’t see any other campers or RVs while being here. The locals don’t seem to mind if you keep quiet and stealthy. The areas is fine, I left the van there while exploring the city without any trouble.
10/10 would definitely stay again for visiting NY City.

Such an awesome spot, so close to subway to see all the big sites in New York! A hotel room in the area would cost upwards of $250 a night! BEST time to try and find a spot is during street cleaning hours on Monday and Thursday during 11-12:30. Otherwise you end up like us and spend an hour and a half hoping someone leaves. Sit in your car during street cleaning and no one will bother you with tickets!

Get there early. Cost us 30 in tolls to get over to Manhattan & could not find a spot. Try parking over in Brooklyn or Jersy & get the subway.

Found a spot really easily. Wish I had come here first.

Très joli coin. Parc accessible. Grande avenue boisée. Circulation normal pour une avenue. Métro.

Very nice spot. Large tree lined Avenue with it’s expected traffic. Beautiful park on the river. Subway close by.

Great place. We spend there 10 nights without trouble.

Found parking long riverside dr. Park nearby has a restroom available until dusk. Safe area. No parking signs for cleaning times only, different streets vary. We just moved out of the street cleaners way and then moved back into the spot and stayed in the drivers seat until the time limit was complete. Great time to have a coffee and read a book. You won’t get a ticket if you are in the drivers seat and you are make sure you move for the cleaners. We stayed here 4 days and caught the 125 st train down to lower Manhattan and Times Square.

Great place, near central parc and subway. A little bit noisy on saturday night, but we slept very well! Highly recommanded.
