Classic beer house with eclectic decor and great vibe. Was busy when we were there, but food was quick and well portioned. Beer on tap is cold and varied. Staff are friendly and this place seems to be a firm favourite with locals and tourists alike.

It's possibly one of the most authentic places you will have a meal at in Windhoek. ingenious how they collect old and rusted material and make a scrapyard-like theme across the entire space. We suggest you go during the day to fully appreciate the place.

Ooh, and the lamb shanks we had was one of the best we've had to date.

Joes Beerhouse is a bit pricy, but we highly recommend them.

Cool place. Food was really good, though my zebra meat was raw, the other meats were cooked. Pricey, but cool stop. we made a reservation, but 1/3 of the tables were empty when we were there. 1st time our server smiled is when I gave her the tip at the end!

Great vibe and interesting menu. Prices are quite steep but portions are big and service is great. Important to book in advance on their website.

Joes Beerhouse is a nice place to enjoy your dinner. Yes, prices are comparably high, but if you want to enjoy a really nice game/meat dish, this is your location. We'd recommend it!

This is a classic local tourist attraction that has stood the test of time. It even boasts an overland adventure story of its own with the little vehicle suspended over the entrance. But as budget South African overlanders ourselves this place is just too expensive and we left after paying a cool N$22.50 for a 330ml Coca-Cola and being put off by the exorbitant prices on the menu. One has to be impressed with the decor, but quite surprised with being told by the waitron that prices can increase twice in a year!!! Enjoy if you have the budget, or just visit for a drink and decor, but we'd rather put our money towards much needed diesel for our adventure.
