rode up past through the railway up through to the gate pretty late at night. round 10. roads up were dry but some of them were dug in pretty deep so be careful. great night. can see so many stars out here and a nice morning view

I drove my promaster in when it was dry but then it rained cats and dogs overnight. I waited till about 1pm the next day for the road to dry a bit before trying to get out. There's a lot of fine clay in the road so it gets super slick and also piles up on your tires. I did make it out by turning the ESC off and just thrashing through it but it's not something I would want to do again. Very peaceful spot otherwise and decent Verizon.

Basic but pleasant camping area. We came in at dark. Sunset was pleasant. No disturbances during the night. Plenty of flat areas (take the time to find the flat spots)

bugs! and it was raining earlier so there is mud on the 2 wheel path. but my 4x4 made it (will see if I can make it out in the morning lol) beautiful and quiet except for nature sounds.

Pull off right before and under bridge was muddy, and road in bad shape. Gave it a go in my ford transit and was quickly put in check. Thankfully reversed out and going hour east down road to byre lake. Worth a look if you have time, close to highway and was a cool spot, but don’t count on it if your coming in late.

We camped next to the road in the lull of the slope of the (defunct) railroad. This spot is to be avoided after heavy rain - it looks like it was very soggy before. Previous visitors forgot to bring a shovel and left half a roll worth of toilet paper (gloves, a pair of long pliers and a plastic bag took care of that). The view is great and the site is quiet. AT&T cell service.

Perfect spot, freindly Farmer (Mike) came by to talk with us. Just don’t park on the road that leads to the gate, they need it to go on their land.

As described. One small rv was parked just b4 the railroad but we drove under the tracks for a few hundred yards and then it dead ended with a fence. Wide open space and a lot of solitude.

We spent one peaceful night here. Arrived late so we didn’t have time to explore- we found out in the morning we accidentally parked on private land- you have to open and go through the gate to get to the public land. No one bothered or drove by us though.

Great place. Beautiful. Easy to navigate in the dark. BEWARE OF CACTUS if you have dogs. We got here in the dark and didn’t see them. Let the dogs out and one got a piece stuck to his face

Nice quiet place with beautiful night skies. 1 motorcycle ahead of us that camped further up. We stayed 1 night.

Beautiful location. Coordinates do take you way out a dirt road. Just like everyone said, cross under the railroad and then anything is fair game. We pulled off into a flat area to set up our tents. Lots of bugs, which is to be expected along with itchy grass. Wear pants and bug spray. Very isolated and quiet night. Almost too quiet. We enjoyed a very scenic sunset and sunrise the next morning. Beautiful prairie views. Not muddy at all when I was there. Near a dollar general and gas station. 10/10 would recommend.

Remote, dark, quiet. Dirt road. Easy to find. I have a big SUV. It’s kind of tight, with rolling tall grass on either side. I wouldn’t bring a trailer I think. I parked on a kind of pullout past the bridge. There’s no mud as others have said.

So quiet and isolated for being so close to the highway. We parked at the gate past the railroad bridge. Though we arrived in the dark, it was not difficult to navigate here. The views are wonderful this morning.

Scary place, uneven ground we turn around to find another spot, I guess it is good for others with nicer camper.

Just after you pass underneath the railroad bridge there is a very muddy stretch!! The mud is very sticky and clay like and difficult to see at night. We ended up getting stuck and were saved by some fellow ioverlanders, thank goodness. The road improves after this patch though, and we ended up staying the night by the fence that delineates private land. Good spot overall, but beware the mud!!

Gorgeous. We trailed a Taxa cricket camper behind Ford F-150. Road is rutted but wasn’t bad. Views were stunning as was sunset. We were visited by thousands of mosquitoes at dusk and dozens of cows at dawn and we would go back in a heartbeat. Make sure to close gate behind you or cows can get out.

Great overnight. I drove to the gate to be on public land and enjoyed the view and the cows. I love staying in places where I don't have to cover my windows!

Very secluded, Google maps uses different names for the roads but our Garmin matched up. We got a 27 foot class A down the road and under the bridge. Came in at night which is not recommended for bigger rigs but the dirt roads are in good condition. Very windy and shook the whole RV all night. Amazing views though.

Super quiet. Not windy when I was there. be carrefull about cow when you arrived. Be also always carrefull about snake.
! it can become difficult when it's raining. I don't have a 4*4 and I stay almost stuck

Great place to stay. Super quiet. I got there in the dark and left in the fog so I can't say much about the views. The only important thing I can add is that if you follow the instructions exactly as listed, you are on PRIVATE land. You need to drive past the railroad tracks by about 1/4 of a mile to ensure you are on public land.

Close to RT 90 and Kadoka in the Buffalo Gap grassland. About 45 minute drive to Badlands. White River Rd to FS 7103. Travel under the railroad bridge to the gate for a nice camping spot. Beautiful views, no road noise. Lots of birds and long prairie views. We had a thunderstorm and parked under the bridge for a little protection while it was happening.
