Active checkpoint with army and Guarda national. The colonel speak a little of French. They asked us for our passport and to open the door, and one drawer. Really friendly they told us to be careful because of the wind which was very important

Three police or military man where here, but nothing happend. No control.

Active checkpoint for the westbound lane. Most cars were stopped by unmarked and masked men. Not sure if they were cops or government. May as well be locals or some cartel/gang. No police or government cars present.
The situation seemed casual enough though.

A few cones and a 'removable tope' (Big old tire) not stopping anyone going either direction. Smile and wave.

We were stopped today. Just wanted to check the car, i think they were searching for drugs. Asked where we come from and where we are going and what our status is in Mexico (Tourist). Did not want to see paperwork. Looked in the trunk, inside the car and under the hood. Friendly guys. They checked many cars and trucks. Took about 5 minutes.

We weren't stopped going east, but we were stopped going west. Pulled us off to the side and looked in our cabinets and under the seat cushions and under the bed. Kept telling my husband that his eyes looked red and he must be high (he was not). We told them we don't like drugs (but we like tequila!) and they let us go.

It’s some squad of criminal investigation crew. They stopped us and asked where we came from and where we are going. The lady opened rear door and knocked on panels but nothing more. Then they said they we could go. Going East

No police today, nobody stopped us. Drove through.

Only one police officer sitting on the side, simply nodded at us. Didn’t seem to be doing searches today.

Not pulled over here, waved thru. Were stopped just outside Juchitan (spelling?) by state police but we pretended we spoke no Spanish at all, he asked us if we were on vacation while our dog barked at him and then he let us go.

We didn’t get stopped. Another car was being searched thoroughly with everyone standing outside the car. It was Federal.

Same for me. Pulled the car apart. One guy seemed like a dog with a bone while his mates just looked on realising I had nothing. Was asked some really dumb questions like why did i have a platform in the rear! Sheesh.

At a checkpoint, the police pulled over out car and checked everywhere. Officers speak a little English, saying it’s for guns drugs etc..
