Costa Rica
They have a large off road site next to the gas station. When we arrived at 19.30hrs it was empty.
We asked if we could park and was told no problem.
A couple of HGV have pulled up next to us but they haven't kept their engines running.
Not a bad place if you're running out of time.

Like some before us, we underestimated the route to Puerto Viejo and therefore stopped here when it got dark. We asked at the gas station and were very kindly answered that it wasn't a problem to stay overnight here. The man from the workshop between the gas station and the parking lot came to us and said we should stand a little closer to the workshop so that he would keep an eye on our bus at night. Otherwise only one truck here - very quiet night.

Report Check-Inok for one night. no open WiFi but you can ask for password. there is a restaurant and a water tap
Report Check-InWe arrived after dark and parked at the bottom after all the trucks. Against all expectations we slept well the noise was more than reasonable.
Report Check-InWe felt very safe in this place. The gas station is 24/7, so there are workers around at all times. We were not bothered by the noise of the trucks. There are bathrooms available all night long and we were able to get an open WiFi.
Report Check-InYes we ran out time too. Not bad place but a bit noisy with a lot of trucks passing by.
