Basically a big sandy parking lot with lots of trees for some shade. It's 10R for 24h. Like locals, you can leave your car/ moto here & get a lift to Santo Amaro where you can stay in a pousada. We stayed there overnight in our van & we also arranged through them our tour at the dunes. We paid 60R pp for a group tour (ask for collectivo). If you want a private tour (a 4x4 all yours), it's 300R. Prefer the afternoon tour to watch the sunset! Toilets & a shower.

A bit far to walk into town but you can get closer to the river with your own vehicle and then park here if you take a tour. They picked us up and brought us back here. Hired a tour with the cooperativa. Phone listed as you arrive at this parking.
