Latest Check-Ins

Very nice spot, calm and quiet, with view on the river.
We felt safe, with good cell connection.

Report Check-In

We took the first spot available. It’s not on the river but it’s level and has good cell service. Minimal noise from the road.

Report Check-In

As stated. Nice spots right on the river.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot! Full service with Verizon/Rogers. It rained the entire time we were there but the road was still good. There’s a few spots on this road

Report Check-In

Very nice water front sites. fairly quiet. quite a few yellow jackets and mosquitoes.

Report Check-In

Lots of spots on river front and inland. Inland has mozzie swarms even in the afternoon. Riverfront the swarms are very bad at sunset. Wood around for fire if needed. Good cell service. Shame about the constant mozzies, we did not leave the camper for sunset. Can hear trucks on highway but not that bad

Report Check-In

this place a bit packed. Drove inland following the gravel road to a gravel pit.

Sand was soft and will sink your rig if you aren’t paying attention. Aired down and parked right in the front.

Bugs were terrible but they were there. Would stay again besides the creepy dumped trashed.

Report Check-In

Awesome spot. As described. The best spots are on the east end on the north side of road

Report Check-In

Liked this spot after driving up Hwy37. Nice to have solid cell reception for a night. Plenty of spots near or away from the river. Any vehicle can make it there.

Report Check-In

Missed the entrance the 1st time by. it is earlier than Google maps says. Road is still nice on the way in. 4 bars of service. They are building houses on the other side of the river right now

Report Check-In

Really nice place with several spots !
Flat areas and completely fine with a 2wd (be carful a few sandy spots could be tricky)

Otherwise clean and calm enough even do us close of the highway :)

Please keep it clean of waste :)

As another reviewer stated the coordinates should be 60.05163, -128.90212
We've stayed here two nights and it's a nice spot. you can hear a bit of road noise but not too bad. There is tree cover on either side of the spot we parked to protect from wind as well.

Report Check-In

This place is in wrong location - it is located at 60.05119, -128.90778

Report Check-In

Great spot, 3 campers last night, this is a fishing spot for the local so be respectful in the area and dont block the road.

Great cell signal

Report Check-In

Nice spot but the mosquitoes held us captive inside our van all evening. Thank goodness for big screens!

Report Check-In

Large gravel area on west side of bridge. Fairly level for overnighting.

Report Check-In

And...July 24th is PMD!!! (Peak Mosquito Day). This place was particularly bad. We went on and tried 15 other places without relief. Anywhere within 100 miles of Watson Lake was awful. But then it is the peak, the mossies are loving the warm, wet conditions of July. Come August the dragonflies wipe them out, so that by late Aug this place will be OK. Until then...

Report Check-In

Water level decreased during the last weeks. So we felt safe here. Some small spots close to the Liard. Wouldnt recommand for really big rigs or trailer. But we had no problems with our 23ft Class C.

Report Check-In

We found our way down and got 3 class A’s situated nicely in the trees. 3 locals came by and told us they were concerned because the river was rising from the back and not from the river and the 4th was a Yukon worker. All in the span of an hour, so we left. We drove by 2 days later and it’s all underwater. Great spot, just be cautious!

Report Check-In

what a great spot! didn't have any animals or humans bother us. beautiful, right on the river
also convenient to have service here, since driving all day north through BC there was no service. this was a lot nicer spot than the border rest area.

Report Check-In

great place as described, driveway to the right is east of bridge, slow down if going northbound to see it. great sites, fire rings, great view of the river. caught the auroras!

Report Check-In

This exact spot was occupied by a massive schoolie so I drove around and found at least four more spots by the river and tons more in the woods. Had a really quiet night and most spots seem to be very leveled.

Report Check-In

Ok to spend the night. Full cell service LTE Roam. Other than that, quite grown in, and the mosquitoes were by far the worst I've ever seen them.

Report Check-In

awesome place. easy access for our 2wd without high clearance, amazing view!

Report Check-In

the narrow gravel entrance is on the north side of the road about 500 meters east of the bridge. Seems to be an abandoned campground or cabin rental. There must be 15-20 spots hidden away. I got a spot right off the water, quite a ways inside the loops. Only one other camper. Not really fir big rigs due to wild growth on sides if the access road. A great spot !

Report Check-In

Great place to spend the night. Stayed by the river and could only hear the traffic over the bridge faintly.

Report Check-In

This place is awesome. Stayed overnight in a 30ft RV. Definitely an abandoned campground and as such there are lots of places to stop. The roads are loops so don't be afraid to drive around and explore. Satellite images on Google Maps are useful. We bagged up someones elses garbage and took it away so please pack out what you pack in!

Report Check-In

Easy access as described. We had three black bears strolling around our van.

Report Check-In

Great spot by the river. Just watch for the two sandle-stealing foxes!!! 😆

Report Check-In

Found this spot like described. Nice right by the river. Just room for one here. Might be others but didn’t roam around. Just wanted to eat a get rest right now.

Report Check-In

Look like a old campground , there many small road so lot of spot to stop for the night. Take the gravel road before the bridge (500 m) on the right if your coming from Watson Lake.

Report Check-In

I if you are coming from Watson Lake make a R 500 meters before the bridge across the Liard River. An immediate L towards the river, second left leads to river front. Park at fire rings.

Report Check-In

Lots of spaces along the dirt road, suitable only for smaller campers though. No facilities, no picknick tables but fine for a night and the river is close, too. Take the second left once you have left the highway!

Report Check-In

View on the river. Few places to stay along the way. Highway not that far but don’t hear to much of it. Great spot.
