Something not right?

Description

The access road to the volcano is closed from 3.30pm - 8am. We pulled out on the little road right next to the ticket shop and found a nice place to stay after 10 m where we could park level. Great sunrise with a view of the cloudy valley. Late in the evening guards of the park passed and asked if everything was okay. At 6am the first park employees came for work. Admission to national parks: US $ 15 / person plus US $ 3 / vehicle.

You need to reserve the tickets online in advance via SINAC.

Latest Check-Ins

The place is a magnificent spot to stay, specially overnight. It’s very windy and cold at night, about 5 degrees Celsius. There is a spot that cuts the wind and it’s leveled.
There was so people ( locals) smoking, dancing and drinking from 9:30 to 11:30. Nothing to worry about. It’s their spot to have fun.

Report Check-In

For everyone who’s planning to visit the volcano be aware that the pretty blue crater lake is currently dried out, so for us it felt is was little to see for 15$ pp.

Also you need to reserve the tickets in advance now via SINAC website.

Report Check-In

We arrived here after dark and the road to the nearby "gravelpit" seemed too bad to try at night. So we stayed on the side of the road in front of the closed gate to the national park. Quite and peaceful night. Weather changed from pouring rain and dense fog to clear night sky within 30min and we had great views in the morning.
