Something not right?

Description

On the beach, on the west coast with huge waves at times. There is a south and north end to the campsites which spans the whole peninsula (if I can call it that). Maybe 70 sites total? South end is primitive with pit toilets. Never stayed at the north but last year they built a new building with showers, toilets, etc. 35$ per night. Port Renfrew is a small village but it is on the move for tourism in an area with toms of thing to do and see.

Whelp, there are pros and there are cons. Pros, beautiful beachfront camping on south end. Ample space between sites (we were site 129). There appear to be newer pit toilets around area but we didn’t use them. Cons, less than friendly staff, washroom and showers gross with cold water showers (4 mins for one looney). If you’re coming for a warm shower I’d look somewhere else. If you’re looking for scenery and pretty setting this would fit the bill.

Beautiful stay on the beach on a perfect calm, spring day. The new bathrooms aren't functional yet, and the pit toilets, well, usable but funky. The area is stunning, Price is going up for North beach front to $42 with power and water. Love this place. Very special.

Great site by the beach. Arrived late at night so we registered the next morning. Shower 1$/4min COLD. Washing/Drying machines 3$ each per load.

Was only going to stay 2 night but loved it so much I extended for 2 more. There is power and great drinking water at the beach sites. Really lovely. If you think this is expensive, check out Tofino!

A great site but unfortunately the owners are just milking it. $42 per night for beach front and you get nothing. The owners are doing zero maintenance and the amount of garbage lying around is disgusting. Lots of day users leaving their crap behind too. Did not use the washroom but it looked pretty disgusting from the outside. We was in site 130.

Great location on west coast. Hard rain today so didn’t explore too much other than the gorgeous shore. Quite a few
Campers - rigs and tents - definitely not closed!!

The place is really amazing but camping staff is not very welcoming.
Informations : there is no phone signal at all and just a little groceries with few things. This place is really amazing but you have to prepare your trip before 😉

Primitive Campground located at the San Juan River operated by the Pacheedaht First Nation. Pit Toilets and nothing else. Quiet.

IT is a big one. The first part with about 100 sites is about 2km north of the bridge over the lagoon. There you find the office. And the second part is short after the bridge left and right of the street with about 50 sites.
Internet near the office. There should be showers, but we didn't find it.
C$ 30 pn.
