Something not right?

Description

Beautiful surfing beach, you camp right in front of a wave. We stayed here for one night. If you are coming from town, follow the hard sand road, it goes along the coast. No facilities around, not even trash cans. Some other overlanders staying here. Other than that, there are a few homes around, so it felt safe. 5 minutes ride to town where you can find gas, food... Telcel « Edge » at this spot. The road to town was completely paved.

Latest Check-Ins

We stayed for the night at the other opening behind the dunes and between 2 houses so it was less windy than this spot. Nice waves. You can see the rocks going in the ocean at low tide. It seems sandy between the rocks. We didn’t venture very far away on this spot because the sand seems very soft. Cell signal very weak « edge ». No data.

This place is surfing paradise! 🏄‍♀️ 🌊
If you want to get close to the water 4x4, it is advisable, but you can probably do it with high clearance.
There are a few camping spots, and we got a private place between two dunes, seriously paradise! check out our photos 📸
Enjoy and leave it as you found it 😉

Report Check-In

We've pulled in a 30' trailer. According to others in the area, the hurricane has washed out a lot of sand. We did manage to get bogged down when we veered onto some wet sand, otherwise its a great place with plenty of room now (I understand it was tighter to part before the hurricane)
It's tucked between some holiday houses so not totally remote but fantastic surf spot right in front of you.

Report Check-In

couldnt find a good way in with 2wd. the football stadium is a giant lake after the hurricane. 4wd should be fine but i sank and was able to crawl out, then gave up. multiple roads leading in, most were closed/underwater but there's still a few options if you have the will

Report Check-In

The place is nice, but be careful, our 2wd van got stuck in the sand here. There are places here where the sand is soft, check it carefully, someone said even a 4wd got stuck in here some days ago.

Report Check-In

Great place. No garbage. Just as described. Only saw 2 cars around there throughout the evening. The flies liked the inside of our van. Wish we would have stayed longer.

Report Check-In

As described. Very easy to find and nice beach break. Hurricane had washed lots of trash and dead fish onto beach so lots of flies and bad smell. Stayed 1 night due to flies. Cell reception but worse than 3G so..... warm water great sunrise and excellent road getting here from Mex 1. A washed out section around KM 66. So if You decide to drive here at night, be very aware Worth the trip

Report Check-In

Camped here, right on front of some good surf but also right off a road so there was noise at night from passing cars. Felt a bit exposed generally, and very exposed to the wind. As Abreojos is generally really windy, this can be a bit of an issue. All in all beautiful spot, but was wishing for more coverage.
