Description

Good restaurant with a big parking. They allowed us to park our motorhome for free in front of the restaurant, with security, water and bathroom. Closed at 7pm, but we could slept inside. And they invited us to a coffee. Very Nice!

They're definitely used to us by now. I rolled in and the guard directed me to back in directly in front of the bathrooms without even exchanging any words. He greeted me and welcomed me in as I was walking to the front of the restaurant.

Dinner prices in the restaurant are high, but the portions match, so it's still a decent value on food, even before you consider the fact that they let you camp for free.

The server presented me with a cold bottle of water with my check. I asked him if I could camp and the answer was an emphatic yes with directions to feel free to use the bathrooms.

It really is a solidly welcoming place and I'm glad I picked it out of all the options.

EDIT: it's 8pm and Kenny, ostensibly a manager, just went out of his way to come out and invite me in for a free breakfast in the morning.

Just incredible.

This service level and very friendly people isn’t an incident, we had the same treatment of kindness. A bottle of fresh water when you arrive, good parking spot for the night at no charge, a very good restaurant with many things offered “from the house” and a quiet night with an armed guard on duty.
It’s an unbelievable spot to eat and sleep, highly recommended.
Watch only for the black flies at the parking spot, there are many and aggressive

Report Check-In

Came here around 6pm and were warmly welcomed by staff. Shown us where to park, very close from toilets. Offered us 2 bottle of fresh water. We didn’t had to eat diner or breakfast at the restaurant. Left early morning to drive north. Safe and quiet place for free.

Report Check-In

We arrived after 7pm and the gate was already closed. I tried to contact the restaurant but didn't get any response. So I just spoke to the security guy (Carlos) mentioned that I wrote a whatsapp to the restaurant, number found in Google maps and mentioned the name of Julio the owner, and Carlos immediately called him to get a OK! He even gave us two bottles of water. The next morning Hugo the manager of the breakfast shift invited us for free breakfast. It's really tasty! And when we left, we got another two bottles of water. Our dog could run free during the night but was not allowed in the restaurant for breakfast. But even for this situation, the restaurant provided a giant crate for dogs in the shade right next to the restaurant. Ah shade, by the way, there is no shade in the parking area, buttttt in case you need it they have a heli pad 😉

Wow, amazing hospitality from the owners of this enormous restaurant. They absolutely insisted that we come in and eat dinner for free. We asked to share the salmon and steak but no… they gave us each a huge plate of food - lunch for tomorrow! We left a very big tip and gave the owner (Julio) a thank you card.
In the morning the manager of the breakfast restaurant came to our van and invited us in for breakfast too, on the house. We just couldn’t do it so we grabbed a coffee and used the bathroom only. We were overwhelmed by their generosity.
All the staff have been instructed to welcome visitors and they sure do.
Wonderful place and had a quiet night sleep as well. There is a water tap out back to fill your tank before you leave.
Wonderful place, let’s keep it that way!

You can park at the back and it’s not noisy. They have free water to refill your tank. The staff is very friendly and very happy to welcome us. Very good customer service! Food is expensive but they have huge servings and it’s really good especially the fish. Worth it. You don’t need to order food to park here overnight. It’s free and Julio even invited us for a free breakfast. We had a really great experience. Very good stop.

We spent one night here, the staff is really really nice, we felt welcome and safe. We ate at the restaurant which is delicious, and the portions are huge. The road is noisy but at night it's not so bad. Free night

Huge restaurant with a big parking lot. We asked the owners if we could stay for 1 night un our motorhome 29f and they welcomed so nice. I did reach then by whatsapp as we where on our way and they where already closed (6pm) so they instructed the security guy to open for us and let us in. Perfect place, Sécure and big enough for ver big rigs. Thanks to Kevin and the owners! For free.

biggest palapa of Guatemala with a parking lot with all day and night security. the most generous persons and team we ever seen in GT : they offered the dinner at night at the taqueria (the palapa's restaurant closes at 6 but the taqueria remains opened until 11pm) offered the coffee in the morning, and let us use toilets, air conditioned room...Amazing people. THE stop before heading south or north.

Report Check-In

We were surprised at how big this restaurant was. Apparently there are three other restaurants under the same name, but despite their huge success, they have still maintained that family feel. All staff were friendly and welcoming and made sure we moved to a more secure spot in the evening, where the security could protect us. Food a little pricey but delicious and with the turtles and fish and hammocks everywhere, it’s a fun place for kids.

Muy buen lugar para parar una noche. Gente muy muy amable!! Baños toda la noche, y wifi. Super recomendado

Sigue igual a cómo dicen los demás mensajes. Baños muy limpios, agua, muy rápido Wi-Fi y seguridad 24h e incluso nos regalaron una limonada, sopa de mariscos y postre sin nada a cambio. Muy amable personal. Recomendado.

It remains the same as the other messages say. Very clean bathrooms, water, very fast Wi-Fi and security guard 24h and even the manager gave us a lemonade, seafood soup and a dessert all for free. Very friendly staff. Recommended.

All as described in earlier entries. Just wanted to emphasize the noise factor. It's located 40 meters from the highway in a spot where the big trucks use their engine break and it very noisy all night long. So, if you're noise sensitive, consider it.

We stayed the night here in our RTT. Within an hour of arriving they invited us in for coffee and we ended up receiving a delicious seafood soup, dessert and coffee! Secure parking, clean toilets and WiFi. Highly recommend this place.

Still a good option for one night on the way from Poptun to Antigua. Extremely friendly and excited staff. We felt very welcome. We first asked at the Puma gas station who wanted to charge 100 Q for the night. Here it’s free, guarded, there are toilets and free WiFi. And yes, they invite you for a coffee :)
