Description

Mr B's Adventure Camp is a must stop when you are in The Gambia. The place is small and quiet. Mr. B is probably the most relaxed person I have ever met. Here you can relax, do your own thing, let dogs run free. Mr B is, among other things, a tour guide, roasts his own cashew nuts and has a few mango trees. There is currently a small fountain, drinking water from a tap right on the street. Mr. B is happy to provide you with food and talk about Gambian culture. A perfect introduction if you come to The Gambia. There are also very simple huts to stay overnight. When you get here you can just make yourself comfortable somewhere. If Mr. B isn't there, write him a WhatsApp and he'll come over. +220 711 2240

Seems to be closed down a while ago and abandoned.

Report Check-In

We came here with great expectations because of what we read but it was totally run down and it is pretty dirty. Nobody was here and the children said it was closed. So we cannot recommand it.

Go to Mr. B, a very friendly and helpful person. He cooks excellently and it's very interesting to talk to him. We stayed there for two days, but could've stayed longer for we felt very comfortable at this place.

Nice quiet and relaxed place with a reggae vibe.
Mr. B is a great host and cook!
He has a trusty old Landrover and he can arrange a lot of excursions with it.

Facilities are basic but clean. There is a well on site of which you can use the water.

Food is great!

Report Check-In

A must if you want to experience authentic Gambia.
Mr.B is a tourist guide and a safari driver who is now trying to establish a campground.
On site there are some small new built houses for rent aswell as hammocks. Theres perfect shade to park an overlander rig aswell so you dont get cooked.
Theres solar to charge electrical equipment and a very simplistic toilet. There are a neverending list of activities Mr.B can take you on; Crocodile spotting, midnight honey hunting, cashew roasting, cannabis processing, local cooking etc. Prices for these activities are very modest and seem to be tip based until the place is more organised.
10min from Barra and to the Banjul ferry.
I stayed for over a month, not regretting a single day.
Cooking can be organised together or privately.
Hammock - 100D
House - 300D
