nice place, sunsets and sunrises are beautifull...

Report Check-In

Ideal for sunset and sunrise views. Quiet spot, can barely hear the highway. Rain made the road from the highway soft and muddy, but could manage without 4wd. A couple others car camping, room for tents too. No facilities, so you might get closer than you hope with your neighbours ;) No bugs, but maybe because it was 5 degrees overnight. Thumbs up!

Great location. We had the place all to our selves. We had it all to ourselves besides the pelicans. Saw a black belted stilt. No mosquitoes. Good internet.

Awesome place, quiet, beautifull view! Near from the highway but very quiet!

Awesome place. Had it to myself for the night. Perfect overnight spot with lots of wildlife.

Report Check-In

great spot nice and quite was not bothered about anything.

Report Check-In

Really calm and beautiful. The sunset lasted forever ! Lots of ground squirrels but not so many mosquitoes.

Report Check-In

We were the only ones here. It was extremely windy at the time. The ground is rutted from vehicles coming in when the ground was soft. It was dry when we visited but very bumpy to come in and out.

Report Check-In

The spot is easy to find thanks to the other commentaries.

We saw a couple of ground dogs. It is peaceful but be aware of ticks!

Report Check-In

Perfect overnight spot away from the highway. Note that you drive over the damn to access it, then the road to the gravel pad is on your right.

Nice and quiet place! No amenities, but easy access 1,5km from the highway on well maintained gravel road, plenty of space. Spectacular sunsets/sunrises included!

Great, quiet spot for tents or RVs! Has a very small amount of road noise. There seems to be good fishing here, too.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place, but too windy for a tent!! We couldn't sleep the whole night. Definitely recommend the spot for a person sleeping in a vehicle tough, so pretty and peaceful. We met some friendly local fishing when we arrive.

Nice and clean, totally private but super windy. Little boat launch

Report Check-In

Good site. Room on slight peninsula to the east of the danger sign seen in other photos. Be tick aware.

I decided to move a little further south over the bridge and found an even more isolated spot on the little lake. No-see-ums abound. Pelicans are present.

Report Check-In

nice spot
beavers swimming
pelicans flying
some rodent type thing digging

heaps of room for any size rig
4wd not necessary

Beautiful spot, a few other campers here but lots of space. Also LOTS of mosquitoes! Nice and quiet, and the sunset is amazing and lasts forever!

Report Check-In

good spot, easy to reach along good roads. Lots of wildlife around.

Report Check-In

Great spot near the water, Super duper quiet, easy access very low traffic area

Report Check-In

This spot was perfect for one night. Totally private. We could faintly hear the highway and passing trains. We pitched our tent behind the big red sign as protection from the wind. Highly recommend!

Went here with our 28ft class a motorhome without a problem. Nice and quiet.

Hesitant to post this as it’s so peacefull and quiet. No amenities but this is the kind of spot campervans were made for...unless you have 4x4 then you’ve seen better places. Not for RVs or big rigs. It’s a shame one can see an RV Park from here.....

Note: we stayed nearly all the next morning as well. A local drove by twice and twenty min later the police came by. They asked us a few questions and said no problem camping here just no fires and told us to enjoy our stay!

Great cell reception too!

The Visitor Centre and Gasstation Motel iOverlander spots were not really our piece of cake, so we tried to find an overnight alternative here (more free, more nothing). We found it here in the wide open. Very quiet. This spot is accessible from both sides, from the 21 and the 1 by good maintained gravelroads. Easy access for all rigs. I think the ultra rigs (the camper autobusus with extra car attached) should find their place at the gasstation.
