Description
Beautiful location just below Knwara. Old hacienda that is being revitalized. Plenty of flat parking. Toilet and hot shower. we did not use the shower, yet they told us it was hot water. Right at the trailhead for the hike.
Be sure to get all of your permits, insurance and guide taken care of in Guican or El Cocuy BEFORE you come all the way up here. Be aware that you must have a permit, insurance and a guide if you want to hike the trails. If you plan on doing more than one hike, secure everything you need in one of the two towns as they are an hour away on dirt track. No need for 4x4 but road is a bit rough.

Didn’t sleep here but when there is nobody around you can camp for free, also about 100m up the trail is a pit toilet from the NP.
