A primitive camping ground in Dinosaur Monument National Park. ~17 sites and a vault toilet. 10$ a night in summer and 6$ a night in winter. The path to get to it is an 11-mile dirt road that has 10-15 degree slopes so a high clearance 4x4 is recommended. Takes about 30-50 minutes to get to and would probably be inaccessible after a rain. If you have the time, definitely check these campsites out as they are some of the most beautiful I've seen.

everything is said, we did it with our truck camper in 60min 12 miles, some steep Grades, some potholes, some trees not cutted, but it works slowly and it is amazing, the views, the Light, different stonewalls
Report Check-InAll other descriptions are accurate. I came in from the Wast via Yampa River road. It’s doable in an SUV or truck, however be careful of recent rainfall.
Nice campground.
Bring your own firewood.
$10 a night, so bring cash as well.
Absolutely beautiful CG and and awesome drive to get here. Nice hikes along the river and really well tended place. Pictographs on the canyon wall, although one looks suspiciously like a baseball.
Report Check-InAwesome spot for only 10$ a night peak season and 6$ off season. If you have a park pass it’s 50% off. Nice spots near the river with amazing views. Close to hiking, caves, and petroglyphs. Has decent pit toilets and water during the peak season. No cell service in the area.
Report Check-InThis was worth the drive. A lovely drive and a beautiful place to camp. First-come-first-serve camping sites $10/night. Some are fully shaded. Others not at all. Worth the drive if you have the right vehicle. Check information at the park entrance regarding vehicle suitability.
