We parked here since it is right next to the river, instead of up by the bomberos. police said it is fine to park here but they are really strict on trash (so if you park here, don't ruin it for everybody else). the grass was a little tall where we leveled off but shorter in other areas but some of that was muddy. it's fine to park in the town square as well but this is just a block away and you're by the river so can't beat it.
Pijao is a lovely quiet town with very friendly people and lots of little cafes and town bars. the shop next to floresta cafe (also really good) has half a dozen brands of local coffee (about 8 ran by women) of super good quality coffee and other goods like chocolate, jams, honey etc.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
unfortunately there is a reconstruction going on and we couldn't park here. don't know if it's just temporary
Report Check-InStill quiet, secure and super conveniently located, if not glamourous. Do not cross the bridge, access is on the same side of the river as the village.
Report Check-InNice spot even if a bit unkept. Great to hear the river in the evening. Close to center of town and safe.

Excellent location right above the river and only one block to the center of town. This is a really nice village to visit. Best way to access this spot is to go straight through the town square.
Report Check-InExcellent spot. Grass still a bit high but lovely spot with view and gorgeous town to visit off the touristic coffe towns.
