In a word FABULOUS campsite. Lovely restaurant, excellent cuisine. Day trips to the Devil’s gate Nat Park well worth it. Def one of our top ten campsites.Report Check-In
Lovely spot, really nice grassy pitch with a view of the lake. Good facilities.
We had hippo come right up to the fence in the evening!
We paid 1,500Ksh per person per night.
Lovely spot, clean ablutions, excellent restaurant, nice staff. Hippos around grazing at night between the water and the electric fence just a few meters away from you. Warmly recommended.Report Check-In
Great place with hot showers, view over the lake and amazing food at the restaurant.
camping at 1500KES in cash. Credit card can be used at restaurant. Lots of birds.
Beautiful spot camping on the lake. The bird life is amazing and we had hippos grazing all night right in front of us. Nice and grassy. Cold showers clean toilets. 1500ks pp pn. You can buy fire wood. Has a restaurant. We didn’t use it.Report Check-In
Great campsite with nice views over the lake. Camping now 1500 KES pppn.Report Check-In
everything like said before - highly recommended; they also offer laundry service for 200ksh/kg and rent bikes for Hell's Gate NP 800ksh/dayReport Check-In
camping directly at the lake with benches and fireplaces, excellent a little pricey restaurant. Camping 1000 Khs, firewood 500 Khs, breakfast around 1000 Khs, Pizza 1200 Khs. Plenty of birdlife to seeReport Check-In
Great camping on the lake. KES 1000pp, kids under 12 half price. Excellent restaurant with great vibe serving pizza all day long. Good ablutions with donkey hot water. Also has some chalets/ rooms.Report Check-In
Beautifully situated right at the lake. Ampel grass, clean toilets, but enormous amount of mosquitoes in there (kind of makes sense given the location, but still ;)). 1000KES pp and good spot to go to Hell's Gate NPReport Check-In
Beautiful large camping spots directly at the lake. Lots of birds around and very quiet at night (only heard the hippos grazing nearby). Clean abblutions with very hot water and great water pressure. Paid 1000Kes ppn. Didn't try the restaurant, but it looked nice.Report Check-In
Big campsite (1000 KSH ppn) on grass, directly at the lake.
Very quiet place (week days, busy on weekends). The restuarant deserves the highest praise - everything is fresh made. Great pizza and salads! Very nice staff.
You can also buy firewood at the reception, 500 KSH
Big rig friendly.
A nice setting. good showers and toilets. The restaurant and bar area is very nice. The camp next door was very noisy.Report Check-In
Nice campsite under Fever trees on the lake. Best hot shower I've had in ages, clean ablutions, nice restaurant with great food and a good bar area.
However..... if you're wanting to sleep before 3am don't try a weekend, the camp next door, Fisherman's sounded like a city center with loud music, partying all night. Very disappointing that there Is no control next door which really spoils ones stay.
Beautiful in front of the lake with many feaver trees which looks amazing in sunset. Great pizza.Report Check-In
Shady grassy spots under large fever trees. Quiet during the week. Favorite spot for visitors from Nairobi in the weekend. Clean flushing toilets and hot showers.
Direct view on the lake. Lot’s of birds . KES 1000 pp. Discount if you stay 5 nights or longer
Restaurant serves tasty pizza’s and curry.
Relaxed place. Little (food) market around the corner.
The camp is wonderful, but price is increased to 1.000 pp. Beer in the bar is 350.Report Check-In
Very nice site under fever trees on edge of lake, great views. Lots of bird life. Wonderfully hot showers. No power at sites and fever trees provide quite a lot of shade so not easy to use solar panels either. Restaurant looked very nice but fairly pricey, didn’t eat there.Report Check-In
Lovely, grassy campsite directly on the lake beneath large fever trees. As everyone mentioned before, lots of hippos and plenty of birds on the property as well.
Ablutions very clean and well maintained with great hot showers.
We tried the pizza at the restaurant as well, which albeit a little expensive, was a delicious treat!
They also will offer laundry service, for 200KSH /kg.
Camping 800pppnReport Check-In
Super nice place!
We were here for two nights and the hippos came out both nights.
There was a group from an overlander buss but they kept quiet all night. The place next door did have a massive party that went through the entire night so if you’re bothered by noice it might be disturbing, it’s only on weekends. YouReport Check-In
Beautiful and relaxed place! Hippos come out in the evening! On weekends you will have a lot of foreigners with their families from nairobi but not disturbing! Music and drones are not allowed at the campsite, so very quiet! 😀We really enjoyed the stay and also relaxing in the great bar!Report Check-In
I am traveling East Africa with my motorbike.
Great camp site and great location to visit Hell's Gate NP. 1600KES per night (two people)
Bring earplugs since it is full of loud birds. On the weekends it gets a bit crowded.
Absolutly great! Beautiful campsite. Had the best hot shower since ages. The restaurant/bar has a very relaxed chill area and delicious food. Also healthy options! We paid 800Ksh per person per night and found it a fair price.Report Check-In
For us it is the best place along the lakeshore. No groups, so it's mostly quiet. All other Infos as written before.Report Check-In
We expected a bit more because of the reviews below. Yes, it is a nice place with lots of shade and clean ablutions but that's it. Nothing special and not worth the detour from or to the way to Nairobi especially for 800 Ksh! We didn't try the restaurant.Report Check-In
This place is perfect. 800 KES pppn. If needed, there’s a place just on the other side of the road where one can use internet on a computer. From here it’s easy to visit Hells Gate, but it’s also nice to simply sit by the lake and admire the view.Report Check-In
The pizza in the restaurant was great! Small for 600-800ksh and big for 1400-1800ksh (big pizza is enough for two people). And they have a little bird feeding place where we saw so many different birds while eating there! A wonderful place for lunch!
As for camping it’s a bit too expensive for us so we went back to Marina Camp which is gorgeous and for half of Carnelley’s price.
Great Campsite under huge trees close to Lake Naivasha with a lot of wildlife. There is a small hippo fence so the animals cannot come close to your car. Very good and clean ablutions with amazing hot showers. The restaurant has a big chill out area and a big fire place in the middle. Good to relax. And the loaded nachos are awesome.Report Check-In
Nice grassy fields under big trees, right next to the lake, with hippos and lots of (noisy) birds in the early morning and early evening. Make sure to pick the field to your right for the most peace and quiet, since the left field is next to the restaurant and bar. 1000 pppn! non negotiable. Ablutions are clean and well maintained. Quiet during the night. Bikes for hire (800 ksh per day) to go to Hells Gate NP but they are in bad condition, especially the gears.Report Check-In
Good campsite, unfortunately i had a cold shower, nice pizza, price 800 kesReport Check-In
Very nice place at lake. Starting 2016 the camping is 800 pppn but the management was kind to us, we could pay the 2015 price :)Report Check-In
Nice spot under trees, direct at lake. Concert of twittering accompanied by honking (hippos!) in the morning. 600 KES PPReport Check-In
Super place at lake. Good ablutions. Lots of birds.Report Check-In
