Something not right?

Description

Blm land off Park Lane. Primitive road to get in, kind of a steep berm on the side of the road big rigs wouldn’t make it. Lots of mesquite trees in the area. On second look, there appears to be another way to get in with less of a ditch to get over.

Latest Check-Ins

We tried to go to the campspots. Road is now very primitive and narrow. Deep sand. We decided not to continue with our Toyota Landcruiser because we were not sure if we could make it with the deep sand. Also no other tracks going there, not sure what is further down the road. If you decide to go there, check the road before driving in by walking in a bit.

Stayed a bit farther down the paved road at a dirt road with maybe 2 or 3 pullouts along the way to a small hill. Lots of gun totin' folks coming & going all day (Wed through Fri) to shoot pieces of metal at paper, or most likely, dirt. We didn't feel super comfortable hiking the hill, since these gun people shoot right at the hill, and bullets can kill people, so we hung out amongst the billions of cholla and saguaro all over the area. One small ditch to drive over coming in, but we were ok in our e250 rwd van and lots of the gun people were driving mini vans... Go figure...

Is as described, fine for a night and tons of space. The road is busier than you'd think but fine for an overnight.

Beautiful desert landscape! almost full bars with Verizon here, which was nice! Only 3 other rigs when we were here. We had a few bees, but nothing too bad. Great place to watch the sunrise and sunset!

BLM, free. No high clearance 4x4 needed. ATT worked well. Deep drainage ditch at gutter, I drove over it parallel rather than perpendicular. There is a bee farm close by so there are A LOT OF BEES. Good spot to stop for the night but I had to leave In The morning do to the swarming bees. Picacho Peak is close by and a great hike.

lugar super tranquilo, se escuchaban los coyotes de noche.

Super quiet place, coyotes were heard at night.

Came here after dark, was good for one night. The hwy is right there and it very loud. Stars were beautiful.

The berm is the drainage ditch for the frontage road. Based on google satellite imagery, there are 3 potential paths to get to the campsite. We chose the eastern most one. The approach angle was ok on a Sprinter 170, but the rear dragged a bit even with a diagonal line. nNeeded 4x4 to get the vehicle moving since diagonal wheels did not have traction. The sites are relatively flat but I didn’t see any established campfire rings.

Nice place to park for the night. No services. Cell phone worked. The access is through a ditch. I made it fine in a minivan but had to hit it at an angle and I'm pretty sure I got one of the tires airborne.
