Description

ADMIN NOTE: As per USFS and because of the Bolt Creek Fire this location has been closed for rehabilitation until Dec 2023, It is illegal to camp in, on or near any trails, Forest service roads or dispersed camping. Active monitoring, Severe penalties will apply and enforced.
--------
This is a boondocking location. DO NOT confuse this with Beckler River Campground which you will pass on the way to this location if you're coming north.

Nice spot beside the Beckler River at the confluence with Rapid River, just off Beckler Road. High tree canopy of dense old growth forest. Lots of hiking nearby, and of course the two rivers.

We were in our Dodge Ram with a camper. A few rock fire pits in the area. Tents would work well, or a small trailer if you can back it in.

Latest Check-Ins

I'm staying for a night just down the road from this spot. the entire road is a madhouse right now. it is a Saturday but I'm surprised. I guess the city of Seattle spilled over into all of the surrounding forest areas.

remember to leave no trace and please keep the water clean.

Report Check-In

parking area with small downhill walk to great camp sites asking the river.

Report Check-In

Lots of pull offs all the way up this road, we stayed one night by the river and one night further up the mountain. Beautiful scenery and very quiet! One of our favorite areas around.

Report Check-In

Right next to bridge and river. Lots of room and still snowy.

Report Check-In

As described. FSR 6530, Meadow Creek. Beautiful creeksside location ideal for tent camping but not really great for van boon docking (imo). No deep pull offs or level spots on this dusty narrow road. No turnaround areas. Slept here but would not drive the 15 minutes from main hwy to use it again. (That said,I discovered too late many other locations in the area better suited for boondocking several of which are here on iOverlander! Duh! On the road going in, there are several big pull off that would be ideal for larger rigs. :0D
