Latest Check-Ins

The road is open and it is still possible to camp at the police station! The team is super nice and hospitable. We stayed one night (were allowed to use the bathrooms and showers) and left the car the next morning while joining a free walking tour. Puebla is gorgeous and we felt really safe this way. Would definitely recommend.

Report Check-In

We didn’t slept here but we left the motorhome for a few hours to visit the centre. The police is very kind. They offer bathroom, showers and a map to visit the city.

Report Check-In

Lots of construction, and multiple roads closed. No parking available on the street. Found a spot north of here for the day, but I recommend avoiding the area. Parking is crazy with "franeleros" running the street, and lots of double parking. The area around Parque de los Enamorados is a better if you can maneuver through all the construction.

Report Check-In

Spent about 5 nights here, it’s all the others reviews are saying! We were really happy to find such a welcome and safe place for free here in Puebla!

Report Check-In

Stayed two nights on the street. Felt very secure. There was always an officer watching or walking around. I never chatted with the officers but they all smiled and seemed friendly. The location is great, easy walking access to the attractions.

Report Check-In

Camped here for 3 nights. Friendly police officers. Felt safe. Free use of toilet and showers in facility.

Report Check-In

Very friendly people!! Every review you read is true. Showers and toilet are 24/7 available, clean and just perfect.

Best hospitality ever ! We enter the Police office and we were greeted by officer Angelica Luna that not only moved two of their pick ups to make space for our van but offered us bathrooms, showers and water all for free ! We stayed two nights but she told us we could have stayed as long as we wanted ! Shoutout to the Tourist Police of Puebla ! You best ! 5 stars service ! And obviously super safe place and 15’ walking from the Main Plaza !

Report Check-In

we stayed here for one night and it felt super safe, really close from center, police was very nice and they let us use the toilet

Report Check-In

Perfect place to explore the historic town of Puebla. Only a few minutes to walk and you are in the centre of the town.
Police is very friendly and offered us toilet and shower!

Supposed to be the safest place in Puebla, you park between lots of policecars 😉.

Report Check-In

A good place to explore the historic center of Puebla. Very close to the main attractions. Very safe as it is protected by the police. When we went out to explore the city they took care of our van. Pretty quiet and peaceful night. They offered us clean toilets, showers and food, but we didn't use them.

Report Check-In

Stayed here 2 nights and they were really nice I highly recommend staying here as it’s super safe. They moved their cars for us so we could park directly in front of the building. They seem to be renovating the insides of the building though so the toilet is a mess (didn’t check out the showers) they also offered us food and that we can use their showers.
Very nice and 10 minute walk to historic center.
I would stay there again as they want tourists to generally feel safe. They do take pictures of your van and passports.

Report Check-In

It's more or less the only place to stay in Puebla to sleep in your car. We asked them if it was OK, they just asked some questions, took pictures of ID and the car. Told us to park in front of the station so you sleep in the street, surrounded by police cars so it feels like it is the safest place. Said we could use the bathroom and shower. We did use the shower once (hot with pressure) and the bathroom (no toilet paper so bring your own). They closed the doors and gates at night so if you need to use the bathroom, you have to find another way. They were super friendly and welcoming. Gave us map of the city and some advice. It is within walking distance of the main monuments and things to do/see in the city as well as restaurants. Definitely the best spot to sleep in Puebla.

As everyone else has said, this is a fantastic place to park in Puebla— literally the nicest police I’ve met anywhere in the world. They took photos of our van and passport, offered us use of their toilets and hot showers (which are super nice), and even made us breakfast in the morning (chilaquiles, eggs, coffee)!!

They were stoked we were exploring Puebla and genuinely wanted us to have a good time in their city. Everyone was all smiles and waves, what a wonderfully positive experience. We love Puebla!!

When we came there was no space in the tiny street but the police were very nice and moved some of their cars so we could park there. Photos of us/camper truck and passport as everyone else. Best shower we have had in months. Can really reccomend this place to anyone coming to Puebla. We stayed one night but felt welcome to stay longer

Report Check-In

We slept here for one night (before going to Mexiko City) but maybe we will come back for some more nights. You park on the street right next to the police station. The spots aren’t very flat but it’s ok.

The cops are super nice and welcome you! We never met so nice cops like them. You feel very safe there. They even offered us food and drinks!

You can use the bathrooms and the showers. There is even wifi you can use.

Report Check-In

Stayed one night here, they were really friendly and told us about the place to visit in puebla. As for everyone they took pictures of our car and our passeport. Calm night and early morning like every mexican city.

Report Check-In

Very nice police peoples, they welcomed us very friendly, they allow us to use their toilets. When we arrived we asked if we could stay, they said yes and placed us in front of the gate! They took a Pic of our ID and asked us how long we wanted to stay, and gave all the information to their colleagues via WhatsApp! We felt very safe, city centre is at 10min walking distance. Was a bit noisy during night.

Report Check-In

Cordially invited by policeman and policewoman to park in the street in front of the police headquarters saying security is guarantied, offering toilets and hot showers. Even gave me a map of Puebla.

Report Check-In

short description: very safe, little noisy but had a good night, can use toilets inside, super friendly team of police, in the city centre. Go here!

long description: we arrived late afternoon and the police officers were having some food in the backyard of the office. A couple officers came outside (officer named Lizeth speaks English, ask for her she likes to welcome to the tourists who come park here). They told it us was their pleasure to have us, and likes to see our ID's for security reasons. They had a Christmas gathering for the police force and their family that night and they invited us. After singing some Christmas songs we had some food, smashed a piñata and got some candy before we left. GREAT night and the cops are super friendly and interested, and above all proud on their beautiful city.

Go here and experience Mexican hospitality at the centre of beautiful Puebla!

Report Check-In

we were there one night . They are nice we could use the toilets and also they gave us water. No one said anything about showers but is a good place to park and visit the city. We asked just when we arrived to a police if we could stay there and they said yes but also asked for our passport. We were one night but there is not any problem if you want to stay more nights.

Report Check-In

Stayed on the side street for two days. They were very friendly, we could use their bathrooms when we wanted and had access to showers after 9pm (didn’t use them). I think they really want people to come. They asked us to make a little video with them which was hilarious and fun to do. We definitely felt safe leaving the car there and walking around town day and night. It is a bit noisy, but nothing too much. I would definitely park there again. It’s super close to the main things to visit (alley of the artists, cathedral, church, etc.)

Report Check-In

Great spot, a little loud but safe. When you get here if there are no parking spots just ask an officer and they will move the traffic cones to make a place for you. The police here are the friendliest we have met. They let us use the bathroom (take toilet paper if you need it) There are 2 showers in the women's change room in the police station. An officer had to wait for us in the locker room next door for security reasons. A clean hot shower is always a great thing though. We are going to do an interview tomorrow before we leave to talk about our experience here. If you see the monster truck pull up go get yourself a free monster!

Report Check-In

We parked in front of the police station on ave 12 oriente (not very large). A police officer came to ask us how many nights, took a photo of the plates and ask us IDs (to allow us use bathroom).
Noisy night but close to the center.

Report Check-In

Got here at 11pm and found almost the last spot available. A policeman noticed us while prepping the van for the night and was extremely kind in telling us we could stay and that they were there all night, just to let them know if we needed anything.
It’s a street park just beside their building, the main cross road in front of it is quite trafficked at night, so not super quiet. But totally fine for one night.

Report Check-In

Police was very, very friendly. Offered to use their showers. (We didn't try because we have got our own ) But in our mind the traffic noise was terrible the whole night. Be prepared.

Report Check-In

We slept there 2 nights, all smooth and a bit noisy, but felt very safe. Staff at the police was incredible!

Report Check-In

We spent 3 nights here. Had a good sleep and felt safe. Puebla is a very beautiful city! The people from the police are very nice. After our second night they asked us if we would want to give them a small interview to promote on their Facebook page, it was fun.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

We asked the police officer, if we could stay here for the night, and he said no. So we did not stay there.

Report Check-In

As described - let them know you will be staying. They offered us to use the bathrooms 24h a day inside the station and even to come in and make coffee or tea! They took down our names and license plate (not exactly sure why - they we so kind). There is a little bar on the opposite side of the street that has wifi. If you parked on the same side of the street and bought something there you should be able to use it from your vehicle.

Report Check-In

Street parking where police entrance is. It is a short street and we were lucky to find a spot for our 20ft van on Sunday afternoon. The street cleared around 8:30pm. It is very safe as the police guard their entrance and are on the street. Could probably park on the adjacent street as well.

Close to everything. Great find!
