Description

We checked in with la Ola hostel (shown on maps.me) and they said we could vehicle camp for 10,000 per person with free internet but we could not fit under their signed entrance so we did not stay. Bathrooms looked clean. Did not stay here.

The place changed name and management. The name is now Clandestino Hostel and it’s run by some French guys. Just met one of them and he was super nice. Ended up staying in a different place but he said I could camp for 15,000COP/night (same as hammock).

Did not look big rig friendly and I went to parties here every night with very loud music until late.

El Arbol Ecolodges, Great place for camper stay, good and safe private parking with trees’ shadow, clean showers and bathrooms, wifi, kitchen, lounge area with hammocks, nice environment all surrounded by nature, birds singing and cute pets, a few steps from the beach and just in the main hotel zone. All for 15k pp (low season)
Yoga classes everyday
Can connect to electric power (except ac) and fill water for a small extra fee, and there is a nice local restaurant in place.
They also have lovely cabins, glampings and camping also very affordable.
And the staff, the best! Always smiling and happy to help and give you tips for your trip. We really loved here!

the entance is 2m an a bit high. so nothing for big cars.

Report Check-In

We payed 10k per person and 5k for parking to sleep in our van. After visiting quite a few places, this seemed to be the best option (and price). Big rigs will fit, bathrooms and kitchen are ok.

Fine place to stay in Palomino - don't expect anything fancy. Kitchen, clean bathroom, close to the beach. Internet unusable, not even for facebook, but we went to the hostel next door and had a beer there and used theirs without an issue (they actually have really quite good pizza there).
Good and cheap place.

camping "el ocelote" is really wrong place !!!!! Camping is just full of young people lost in their lifes, spedding their time to smoke weed, drink beer, listening to and playing music (and to be exact, they play guitar, yes, that kind of people always play guitar !) until 4 or 5 a.m. Really hard to sleep ! bathroom are dirty. owner are sympathic until you pay, after that is not the same sympathie..... we booked 2 nights, but after the first night, we just wanted to leave. the owner charge us 50% of the second night even if we didn't book an hammock or a cabaña because we slept in our van!!!! they are not friendly, they just want to earn a little more money. Moreover WI-FI doesn't work. The camping is really close to other hotels and restaurant because this place is really really touristic. Moreover the beach is really bad, you don't have space, not beautiful.... Avoid this place. one of the wrongest camping in our 1 year trip in south america !!!!!!

Nice place as described below. Free wifi workes only for WhatsApp and Facebook.
Hight restriction: The hanging down Hostal Sign 'El Ocelote' is flexible, no problem, our car mesures 2.57m in height.

Report Check-In

Nice place with lots of space. The heat was pretty brutal but they've got a few nice shaded areas to hang out in. 10k per person and an extra 2k per day if you want electricity. They do have wifi but it's limited to Facebook and WhatsApp. (A couple we met went to the hotel next door to buy a coffee and got their wifi which reaches El Ocelote). Lots of skeeters. Nice owner!

Nice camping place. Not on the beach, but therefor cheaper.
