Open from Wednesday to Sunday from 8am to 4:15pm.
It is possible to spend the night in the parking lot, the guard kindly left the bathroom open until 10pm. It wasn't 24 hours!
There is no Wi-Fi, only in the city and Claro's 4G signal is weak.
The archaeological site was already closed when we arrived on Sunday at 5pm, so on Monday we took a trail next to it that has attractions outside the site, such as the Inca game and Cara del Inca.
We saw some people inside the place, we asked them and they still didn't allow entry.

Report Check-In

The guards are very friendly and showed me where to camp. I pitched under the museum roof for some shelter. Park opens 8:30am. Toilets open all night you just need to use a fingernail/ coin to unlock it and lock it back (they showed me this - not being cheeky)

Report Check-In

Very nice grassy and concrete elevated space (not covered). If you are in a car, you’ll be in the parking lot but if you are on a bike you can pitch your tent in this area - it’s grassy and there is a big concrete space; nice and flat. No sockets ⚡️ around this area but in the bathroom area.

Beautiful view of the mountains and of the Ingapirca site. Last tour goes at 4:10. Water available from the bathrooms sinks. Toilets clean and they flush!

For the tour: we left the bikes locked to the park main building. The tour took 1hr and the bikes were perfectly fine.

Staff was super nice!

Report Check-In

Overnight parking for free. Night guard opened toilet for us at 10pm, then closed till next morning 8:30. Good place, friendly people. $2 entry with guide.

Report Check-In

$2USD per person entrance fee that includes guide. They told us the time of our tour when we bought our tickets (20 minute wait so we visited the museum). The Spanish tour was so informative, interactive, and the guide was knowledgeable. We recommend visiting. We had the green light to sleep here but decided not to due to no facilities available, and one of us needing access to a bathroom during the night. Very friendly staff and well kept grounds!

Report Check-In

Ee spent one night here at the parking of the archeological site, very safe. We entered the ruins early and had a great tour. Really recommended

Report Check-In

Crowded in weekends!!! As we saw many more interesting Inka and pre-Inka sites in Peru, we just came to see the Inka head in the rocks. We had to wait about 45 minutes before we could enter the site because of too many visitors. Later we found out we could just have walked to the Inka head place along the dirt road without waiting, nor paying.

Report Check-In

Free camping in parking lot at entrance. Must pay entrance fee for ruins - $2pp. Some traffic goes through until early evening but quiet later and guards on duty all night. No services. Toilets may not be open all night. We were not allowed to park our 6.25m truck until after 1700. Fortunately restaurant across the road allowed us to park (we had lunch there) or could park in street. Restaurant also offered for us to park all night on their premises.

Report Check-In

Nice spot. We arrived after the ruins closed for the day and the guard had no problem for us to camp there. We were the 3rd ones for the night. Bathrooms were closed, didn‘t ask for Wifi.

We arrived at 3pm with our 10m rig on saturday and they had no problem for us to stay overnight. We first parked on the side and then moved to the parking area when the park closes at 5pm. In the morning, we just had to leave before the park opens. Wifi from Banco del Austro, ask the guard for the password. Good and safe for 1 night. Some cars passing all night but not noisy

Report Check-In

They even did not let us park there. Only for small cars.....
We had to park down at the bus station of the village. And it was not very busy (wednesday).

Report Check-In

They let us stay on a monday night, quiet and safe. We think the issues may have to do with the weekend business being so full, the parking spaces are limited.

Weekdays we got instantly offered to stay for the night at the parking lot, by the security man and by the ticket seller. Very calm.
Entrance is 2 US pp including the guide (Spanish or English).

Report Check-In

The guards told us it is no longer allowed for people to camp. However they were very helpful in finding alternatives. Apparently the tourism-ministry has land down near the river, where you can camp, did not check it out but it sounded nice. Also a guy offered us to park in his backyard some 100 meters from the ruins. Ask the guards about it!

Report Check-In

All that is said is still true. Free, safe, quiet, friendly. Big rigs can spend the night in the parking lot, but have to move out during the day again.

Report Check-In

We just visited the ruins. We were charged $2 per person, with English speaking guide. Small museum across the road is free.

Nice, free spot! Large and flat parking area. Clean bathrooms were open all night, but there was no water during the night. We did not find any wifi. It was a bit noisy during the night, as the parking lot is not a dead end, but still a nice spot. Nice view and nice little hike.
