After descending to 9000 feet from nearly 15,000 feet, route 30 runs along a river. We found a spot off of the highway to access the riverbank, although 4WD is required to maneuver down a small drop off and onto the river rocks. The rushing water does a good job of drowning out the traffic noise on the road.
