no parking foreing cars.
We parked our camper in the parking lot in front of the city hall (la agencia, as they call it) in San Jose del Pacifico. We asked for permission and they said it was ok and safe. It is actually a nice spot with views. It was quiet at night.

No nos dejaron pasar la noche para luego seguir rumbo a Oaxaca.

Report Check-In

no possible to stay.
Just parking oficial cars.

Report Check-In

Asked for permission and could stay the night. It’s a good and safe spot personally the trucks passing super early in the morning around 4 o’clock bringing wood down the mountains were a bit annoying.

Report Check-In

Leveled. In the early morning (4 a.m.) you can hear cooks crying and all the traffic passing by ... but free.
I woulnd't stay there again or I have to eat the magic mushroms before ....

Report Check-In

We asked for permission to stay here and were not allowed to. There was also a chain put up across the entrance to the parking lot after work hours. It may depend who you talk to, but there may just have been too many people parking here. We parked on the street for a few nights, but there are not many level possibilities for that in San Jose.

Nice flat spot.
Quiet by night and safe.
Good spot if you don't need service.

Report Check-In

We stayed for free outside in their parking lot. It's called La Agencia. There was a toilet on site and after a few hours we saw some of the workers returning equipment and asked permission to stay. They were very friendly and accommodating.

Report Check-In

We asked to park here overnight they told us no, wanted us to spend money somewhere instead

Report Check-In

Stayed here almost 24hs. Feel safe.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for one night, asked permission first and the people were very friendly, public bathrooms on site.

If you want to be transported to another dimension go eat at the yellow/green comedor on the main street in the evening, super good food and very cheap.

Report Check-In

Rolled in late to the town and parked here over night. In the morning they were annoyed that I had used the bathroom, so if you park here make sure to ask permission. Other than that super friendly hospitable town!

Report Check-In

This town is funky and fun. Head for a hike up the misty mountains, stop over at the hostel at the top of the hill for some magic tea (last buildings on the left as you hike up), and continue your journey up into the cloud forest. The hostel also rents very basic rooms for 50 pesos I think.

A rare piece of level ground in a very mountainous area. We parked on the road adjacent to the square and had a quiet night in this somewhat bizarre town.
