Beautiful camping spot on Adventure Park property. You can park very close to the rim. Fantastic view of the canyon and very close to all activities which are provided within the park. Make sure to arrive before 4:30pm. Otherwise the gate will be closed and you can spent the night on the air strip. We got in touch with Jilo Mancinas, a security guard, who was very nice and organised a bunch of things for us. If you need something or plan to do a tour through the canyon, give him a call. +5216351112626

camped out here last night. The park gets pretty quite after 6 pm. Every vendors leave. There were couple of German overlanding Rigs here parked and camping. you can use baths at the adventure park between 8-5 pm. Got water for shower from Banos too. You can fill the small container.
attached photo of the canyon 100' walk from where I was parked.

Entrance fee now $30mxn/ person. Friendly security guard checked in with us on the first night, after the park closed, and confirmed okay for overnight. Stayed two nights without issue.

We camped 3 nights in the carpark, close to the edge of the Canyon, no charge, apart from the 25p p/person to enter the park. No problems, just the local kids coming to stare endlessly at us in hope of being given something. Góndola was not running for the time we were here due to maintenance. Nice place!

Overnight parking at the parking lot of Parque Aventura Barranco del Cobre with a nice view of the canyon. Quiet during the night. Entrance fee is 25 Peso p.P., no camping fee.

So there is a main entrance to this area and you do need to pay 25 pesos per person. This entrance does close and you can’t access after 430pm. There is also another entrance that gets closed off after some time, not sure exactly what time that is, but its the official entrance to adventure park. Once you are in this area, and you happen to get here before 430pm, you might be forced to park in about 1km from the main area. This is excess parking and i believe its in the old landing strip as others have commented. To get to this exact location, you need to do it after the parking attendant leaves that excess parking lot. There are bathrooms within adventure park building available until 430pm. Outside the building near the kids park area there restrooms that stay open till a out 8pm. Jilo, the security guard is a kind man and says he locks those around 8pm. If you ask people inside adventure park, they will tell you that there is no camping here. FYI. Here 3 day/2 nights and had no problems. I was the only one here overnight and felt very safe. Had views of the canyon with lightning storms from a far that went all night. Highly recommend it!

Nice spot. Park facilities (toilets etc) are only available during the opening hours (09:00-16:30). To enter the adventure park you need to buy a 'bracelet' 25 pesos pp from the booth on the entrance around 1km before the runway. We arrived at the parking late and stayed overnight, but had to go back to get the access 'bracelet' in the morning.

we spent 2 nights here after talking to security who said it was fine to stay and safe. the gate closes around 6 and opens around 7 and there is a guard there all night. the views were great, there is good Telcel service and there are many hiking and biking trails nearby. plus the adventure park is right out your door. bathrooms during park hours, many vendors to get food at and the restaurant in the park. very quiet at night. the vendors start setting up around 7 AM each morning.
