A very convenience place to stay. Franz the owner is very helpful and a great source of information. The food is very delicious and they serve big portions. WiFi is very good (fast) and free. They run on solar during the day and at night with generator until 9pm - than you can charge your batterys in the main building. Hot shower, Drinking water on all taps - we asked and could fill our tank. Smal pool.Pula 80 ppn. Recomnended.

Report Check-In

price changed, now 80p. Before but she said it was already 6 months, when I showed ioverlander she said I was free to go and that now the price has increased. wifi only in the main building and turned off after 9pm, reception in the campsite often useless, one bathroom and one hot shower. Dirty and unusable swimming pool. However friendly owner. if you have 2 more hours for 95p go to the nata lodge in Nata, services and structure clearly superior.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for one night. Franz (the Austrian host) was really nice and told us a lot about the country, the wildlife and hunting.
The food is absolute amazing and prices are more than fair.
And just after our dinner a few Zebras and elands stopped by at the waterhole.

Report Check-In

Quiet and very clean place.
Have spent 1 day there.
Have previously stayed in Senyati, but there it was too noisy for us.
Food was fantastic.
Own waterhole. In the evening zebras came over the day again and again elands.

Report Check-In

Lovely place at an excellent price - only 60ppn - half the price of Panda Rest Camp. Wifi was good, showers hot and the food really, really great. As a bonus they have bottomless coffee for 25p too. For fellow cyclists you’ll be happy to know that for once in Botswana it’s a short gravel (not sand!) path to the site.

There’s a watering hole, we saw giraffe, zebra, kudu and a few others. This is a great, chilled out spot - we spent two days relaxing here. A real bargain for the price.

Report Check-In

Nice campsite. 60 pula per person!
Hot shower when the generator is on.
Good wifi.
Restaurant, bar, pool.

The camping spot is not the best but for the price it's more than okay.
You can do a fire pit if you want.
There is an artificial water hole. We saw 4 girafes, kudus, impalas, zebras.
Lions and elephants can come sometime.

It's true that the owner is a professional hunter. It's interesting to know how it work even if you not agree with it.

Report Check-In

like description but know 100 pppn, friendly owner

Report Check-In

A very nice lodge with a simple campsite, 60 p/p. Partly the zebra, impala and eland antelope are close to the campsite. Hot showers. Good restaurant with bar and WiFi. Franz and Mandy are very nice and helpful. From the lodge there is a 2km long path to the Hunters Route.

Report Check-In

Still BWP 60pppn, simple and quiet campsite. Couldn't braai since it was raining during our stay, so we got the burgers, very tasty!
definitely worth the price, nothing too special tho for us.

Report Check-In

Good small very personal camping place. Best part for us was listening to owner’s stories getting to know place from his pov. It had been raining a lot for last few days so only few impala’s at water hole. We were hoping for proper cooking facilities but it’s a fireplace so didn’t use. Lovely stop all to ourselves felt like staying in jungle. No electricity at campsites

Report Check-In

Prices went up a bit, currently 60p ppn for camping. In restaurant, we got hamburger. 200g of meat, so more than enough, with fries, price is 85p. Local beer for 25p.

Flush toilet and shower with hot water available for campers. Wifi not the fastest, but it gets the job done. Electricity from generator, which is turned off at 9 P.M.

We camped a bit away from the center of the place where we were all by ourselves. It is a bush camp, so you can even hear animals around at night (none came for a visit though).

At the pond, we saw two antelopes at night and a huge herd of them in the morning. Day before that, apparently a group of zebras came for a visit as well, so it is mostly about your luck :)

For me, it was definitely one of the best camps I have visited in Africa so far. Absolutely worth it.

Report Check-In

Great food and a nice bar with a good view to the waterhole, full with Elands, Roans and Impalas. During our last night at the camp, with had a Hyena attack to a Eland. Best time to watch hundreds of Antilopes is from August to December.
Franz ist a really good host, sharing lots of informations about wildlife and Botswana. Very clean absolutions with full day hot water.
Very recommendable kitchen!! Free WiFi at the bar and the parking area.
Mascom reception is okay.

Report Check-In

Camping is still 50 Pula pp.
Saw some animals at the waterhole. Had a really nice stay.

Report Check-In

Beautiful lodge with camping. Owner is very friendly. And the place is nicely kept.
We were charged 100 pula pppn.

Report Check-In

For overlander who need nothing (abulutions) a perfect place. Food is good. Nice owner. Very private and quiet. A good place while traveling between Vic falls, Hwange NP and Botswana. We saw lions.

Report Check-In

No comparing this one with Panda Rest camp: this camp is very personal, with a camping spot almost like a wild camp. Friendly and helpfull owner, smal swimming pool, bar and water hole. Panda is bigger, with electricity and all, but when we looked very empty and lots of building activities. Depends on what you like. This one is 50 pula pp, Panda 120 pp.

Report Check-In

Nice place with pool, bar and restaurant but not really a campsite, just on grass around the lodge, far from ablutions. The wifi is very slow and he only switches it on occasionally. I'm not sure why previous posts said its fast, that's why I came and was disappointed. Food and drinks are a bit expensive

Report Check-In

Lovely place to stay. camping is basic but the shower block and toilets are perfect. owner is very welcoming and accommodating.
price is 50pula pppn. wifi works well too.

Report Check-In

Camped here before. This time only stopped for lunch. It was very good and reasonably priced.

Report Check-In

we had a nice time here. we were travelling with two motorcycles and a tent. the wifi is good and enough food and drinks in the very cosy bar. it was actually the only place in Botswana that had wifi... :D we saw much game at the waterhole during the evening and heard hyena during the night.

Report Check-In

very basic camping area close a waterhole were animals come to drink. while we were sleeping animals come to your tent. staff/owners are very friendly and restaurant is good. was 50pula pppn.

Report Check-In

Agree with earlier entries, this place isn’t made for camping. No real sites. However ok if you just want abolutions and wifi for a night since it‘s quite cheap at 50p per person. The austrian owner is friendly but a professional elephant hunter which seemed a bit weird to us

Report Check-In

This place isn't set up for camping with a braai or water taps at sites. Rather, you camp under trees and use the clean & comfortable shower & toilets near the swimming pool. The braai area available to campers is behind the restaurant & bar, by the pool. The owners kindly informed us when we arrived that Panda Rest Camp down the road provides more traditional campsites. The Touch of Africa bar was full of local farmers & their families. Good experience, overall. We were the only campers and enjoyed the quiet. We were charged 60 pula each.

Report Check-In

Very friendly owners but note that it's less of a lodge and more of a b&b but without breakfast to finance the owners standard of living. To do so chalet rooms are well in excess of US$100 without electricity except between 6-10pm. You're expected to find your own way to the toilet in the pitch black or with a Chinese led lantern. No WiFi although we're told it's getting installed.

Report Check-In

Super hospitable family runs this place. Campsite is basic but ablutions are good and there's an area where you can cook/braai. 50 pula.

Report Check-In

Basic campsite next to a nice lodge. good food, nice owners, fair price. From the bar you can observe animals at the waterhole.

Report Check-In

Just like mentioned. Nice staff, good food, quiet, 45pula for camping.

Report Check-In

First correctly priced basic campsite in Botswana.. place for few vehicle under trees. Very friendly Austrian-South African owners. Nice big waterhole, own game drive. Ablutions a bit far but really clean and in a good shape. We had a good time here...

Report Check-In

Very nice lodge with campsite, restaurant, waterhole ( lots of animals in dry season). We heard lions roaring during the night, went out with the owner to see them. Great food, good prices, very nice austrian owner. 45pula pPn, children half price.
