stayed there 3 nights. let the kombi there 1 week to have our Solar water fixed when we went by bus to BAires. Walter is very friendly. lot of dogs. you have cold showers and toilets. good to fix some stuff in your kombi 😁. and we met travelers and not only kombinautes.

Thought I was just going to spend a quick night and ended up staying a week! Walter and his family are super nice and super fun. There are a few guys now working on their Kombis and it was such a welcoming and friendly group it was hard to leave. Pay what you want depending on what you use (water, electricity, tools, etc). Walter has a lot of projects he's working on and is excited to talk ideas for van modifications! Lots of dogs, lots of wine :)

Stayed here 2 night. Walter and his family are absolutely wonderful and welcoming. 3 other kombi of travellers at the same time. We are not a kombi but we were very welcome.
Only 4 spaces under a bit a shadow to park.
Shower (hot but if you make fire) and rustic toilet. Outside kitchen with parilla only and big table to share with everyone.
They also have a old swimming pool that they refill when it is very very hot - we did enjoyed it !
You pay what you want. We were 3 and decided to give them 500p for the 2 nights.

Checked Out the place, fun spot, where two Guys chilling out there. Fun to see, did not stay there because the couldn’t speak a word english. Not sure about other facilities.

Walter es una gran persona y recibe a todos los viajeros sin problemas. Tiene herramientas a disposición para hacer cosas en tu kombi. El refugio cuenta con baños,ducha

This place is made from Kombifans for Kombifans. Kombis and other Motorhomes can stay at Walter's home and share the space and the facilities with his family. You will meet really nice people who can help you with all kinds of questions for Kombis and traveling in South America and who love to share stories, a meal or a glass of wine. Find them as well in the internet so you can contact them before arriving. A really nice spot to feel comfortable and stay while exploring Mendoza region.
