Latest Check-Ins

Thank goodness for this place, route 126 is closed (no warnings til your deep into it) and all the national forest campgrounds are closed, as well as spots listed along 126 on this app are posted no camping. I’m at a horrid angle and there are at least 3 other campers in the ‘prime’ spots here when I pulled in at 5:30 pm on a Monday. I blame mercury retrograde, can’t wait to drive 2 hours back since there is no other thru road.

Great spot! Spent 2 nights here, before and after the hot springs. On and off phone service. Many fire rings and lots of wood. Keep right at the fork there is a spot on your right that is pretty leveled and the mountain kinda block the highway noise. Don’t go too far if you don’t have a 4x4. The entrance road is fine but a few meters past the fork it gets bumpy.

Report Check-In

Nice and quiet. Snow on the loop road but packed and easily drivable. Stayed close to the highway in our RWD extended Transit van, didn’t venture too far in as it was dark when we arrived. 1-2 bars of Verizon.

Report Check-In

Parking is good at the entrance. Not much service on Verizon. Perfect place to park if you want to visit the hot springs the next day

Report Check-In

some of the roads are rutted. some spots are flat-ish. not bad for a night.

Report Check-In

a bit bumpy after the entrance. there are spaces to camp right at the entrance, but the road is close. not much traffic after dark. the only issue we had was finding a level site. keep looking for it

Report Check-In

Should be reclassified as Primitive Campground. Plenty of room near the entrance for a large rig (we’re a 30’ Skoolie). Lots of other spots, but the rest of the road is pretty rutty. Great spot, a few other campers in the area.

Report Check-In

not exactly a "campground" rather just a dispersed camping area. only a couple somewhat decently flat spots. high clearance not required but it will get you further away from the road. not bad for one night!
