I preferred this place to call it "end pf the world road". Park your rig next to the lighthouse and it really feels like the end of it! It is a beautiful place to camp. Some wildlife. Some whale. Some boats. This is it for me. I left Anchorage Alaska and came all the way to here. The feeling is unparalleled. I highly recommend to all overlanders to go the extra miles and go on route RJ. Much more satisfying than Ushuaia!
Edit : Warning : do no eat any shellfish, there is "marea roja" disease around , it's neurotoxic and lethal !

Juste pour voir le phare de près mais attention de ne pas glisser et tomber, l’échelle est un peu fragile par endroits
Report Check-InNice spot. You can go close to the sea : nice views but really windy. Or stay at the top, where you have less view but a protection from the wind. We stayed at the top, it's almost hidden from the road (but there is almost no trafic anyway). The surroundings are very beautiful. We liked our night here.
Warning : do no eat any shellfish, like mussels, there is "marea roja" disease around , it's neurotoxic and lethal !
Agree with the original poster, nicer then the real end of the road spot, great vibes with the little lighthouse. We started the night at the lower spot, but moved to the upper spot when a snowstorm rolled in. Pretty well protected at the top spot, but better views below :-)
Report Check-Inlugar lindo al lado de la baliza..se puede dormir escuchando el mar...el camino hasta ahí es heemoso
Report Check-InThe road to the lighthouse was a bit sketchy so we stopped at some opened area that is covered from the road and where there is a firering. We thought we were covered from the wind because there wasnt much, but during the night, it really picked up and it felt like sleeping in a boat in a storm!
