By the river, good for swimming fresh water Rocky banks a little cliff for good jump into the river, many trees and good shade, safe, kind of isolated spot, few cars passing by, during the night we spent only 2 cars, many spots in the area, there is one more spot less than 1 km on the right, river is seen from the road, there is a farm house in front, you pay 5 dollars for camping for car! No 4wd needed, great spot!!!! Good spear fishing

Report Check-InAs described below. We were a bit afraid because we saw a police car chasing another car. But when they came back we asked if it was safe and they said it was ok.
You can hardly hear the sound of trucks break from the big roads. Some plantation workers pass by at evening and morning.
Nice and refreshing river.
We came here after having been to Tortuguero on our way to the Caribbean coast. It was a nice place, though packed with locals as it was a Saturday. We decided to have lunch here and find a more private spot for the night.

Report Check-InDude this place is AWESOME! Spent the night here beautifully tucked in off the road and right on the river. A few cars go by on the road. About 15 Cops came around 10pm to see what was up. They said it was cool to camp just lock the doors and be careful!
It was free, not sure what that $5 comment is about. The gps pin is spot on, there is enough space for 2 rigs (15-25 feet) and a separate side for camping with tents. Highly recommend it!
Report Check-InGreat for tents! Not much place to park a car other than the side of the road. I did not stay but it is a beautiful and quiet spot! I would not swim here, though.
