Great spot by the lake amongst the trees. Turn off 300m west of bridge leads to a track that goes on for a while but is worth the persistence. No toilets.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Beautiful place but no more overnight camping. The rangers came in the evening and told me it is not allowed but they let me stay this night.
Report Check-InLovely free campsite by the lake, lots of nice spots and plenty of firewood around. The lake water is safe to drink.
Report Check-InNow is OPEN. Free. Great beach.
There's a parking we're you can spend the night or also at few meters away at the beach.
It's now open again! This camping is nice because you can access easily to the rocks beach (no sand), but when you have a car, it's only a dirt parking with nothing else. You can do fire on the beach, eat there, and also have a swim! Great after a long sunny day!
Report Check-InThis place is located inside the Parque Nacional Los Alerces. Entrance fee for the park 250 ARS per person. No pets allowed.
Report Check-InAll the lakefront sites are now blocked for vehicles, including #18.. still plenty of space - we parked up along the fence posts in front of #18 and had a great couple of days here.. it's a really beautiful area and it's quiet, sheltered and clean. We can see why this spot is a favourite.. it was one of ours also, and we were lucky enough to have it all to ourselves
Report Check-InAgree with the former comment. We really like this spot and came back for a second stay. We were alone at both nights.
Report Check-InOne of the nicest in the park but a bummer they have now put posts up to stop vehicles getting near the lake. There are still a few good spots to be had though - number 18 being one (the first on the left as you get to the lake).
Report Check-Inmagnificent camp! lovely pebble/rock beach, great views up and down, sunsets between a mountain saddle and there is a small stream running into the lake by our camp (yes we are 10ft) elevated. wind is Patagonian, but the massive trees here do a decent job blocking. fire pits and accessible for big rigs of needed. I'll be staying here again some day.
Report Check-InStayed here two nights instead of the intended 1 night. Very pretty and one of the best in the park. Busy during the day with folks enjoying the beach.
Looks like the park is doing so work to restrict car access. We stayed in spot #18 which was awesome, but it felt like we shouldn't have driven into this area.
Report Check-InLots of very nice camp spots to choose from. The Guardaparque allowed our dogs as long as they remained in the camping area and on a leash or under close control. The only facilities are garbage cans and fire pits.
Report Check-InClean and well maintained. The ranger paid us a visit and offered some advice. There are rubbish bins and fire places there but nothing else. Some sites are sheltered from the wind, those with the best views offer only little shelter. This was our favorite among the free campings in the park.
