Description

We stayed a week at this small park, felt safe enough. The south side street seemed to be the quietest and flattest. Nice lights to park below and easy walking distance to zocalo.
---
Very quiet plaza in Oaxaca. There is police around frequently. We slept here 3 nights excellent.

We slept one night here. It’s hard to find a place, but everything was ok. Be alert because we saw a lot of warning near to this point in iOverlander. Like I said, for us was a calm night, but we prefer to move the next day to the Soriana point.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for 6 nights during día de muertos. Met other overlanders and had a good time.
Felt safe and weren‘t bothered.
Good place, close to the zocalo

Stayed 5 nights. Parking spaces hard to get, except for early morning, due to Semana Santa. Felt safe. Noisy at times but not unbearable. Wore earplugs at night. Super convenient location, close to the action.

stayed here two nights with with car RTT. very secure area. No problems at all. I could have stayed here a week. 10 min. walk to Centro. police patrol day and night. In the morning, you may hear the cleaning folks cart clanks on cobble stones. During the day hard to find parking here. after 630 pm lot of slots available.

fantastic spot we stayed 2 nights, a bit of traffic noise in the morning but other than that a great place. really safe as the streets are all lit up. very close to the centre as well.
highly recommend this spot, the parking fills up quickly in the morning/ afternoon, spaces appear late afternoon / early evening.

We stay at this exact location over night and it was perfect everything was close by and quiet at night we spent two days here it was amazing.

Stayed here for total 6 nights. We felt safe because there is a food truck on the same street. Usually quiet at light but there are days (I think Wedensdays) when they clean the street at 4AM. Usually full during the day so come before 7AM or after 9PM to find parking.

A nice street camping place to stay. Parking is full during the day, arrive late or super early. Police guard box on site, we asked and they said it was ok to camp here. Very quiet during the night. A good walk to the zocalo. Several nice restaurants & coffee shops w/WiFi nearby.

We found a hostel that would rent us showers 6 blocks south and 2 blocks west, I marked it here on IOverlander. Hostel de las Americas.

Great location, we stayed on a Sunday but it was a public holiday the following day so it was maybe a little louder than usual. The following day when we went to leave the van and explore the town there was a man staring at us and when we walked away he seemed very interested in our van, so we moved it closer to security and asked them to watch it while we explored Oaxaca.
We moved the next day to Le Petit T-Park about 10 minutes out of town and found it was more quite and we felt more safe.

Nice park and neighborhood. Plenty of food options and very safe and dog friendly. I parked on the east side and it's very busy with a lot of fast and loud traffic so do try to get a spot on the other sides.

Super quiet place at night, you have to arrive at last hour of the day to get place. It is very close to the historic center. Tired of the big city we went to the Rv Park ranch to rest in the Tule.

Stayed here for on night, super busy but no problems. Nice spot in town!

Report Check-In

Came here at recommendation of a parking attendant near the larger park (he said that park wasn’t safe). Much quieter and much better lit. There are private security from 8pm to 8am here, and quite busy during the day, so felt very safe. We spoke with them and they said no problems staying here, just don’t park in front of any of the shops, only park on the park side of the street. The GPS coordinates are for the less traveled street.

Great night sleep....stayed three nights and never moved the van.

Bathrooms in estaciamento (parking) near NE corner, 5pesos.
