Description

MODERATOR NOTE: No overnight camping allowed, please respect the wishes of the locals.

Small camping spot at bottom of hill on the lake, great for swimming, private, good sunsets, but not for big rigs...might want to reverse into spot as you can’t turn around

Quiet, save and private local, Nice spot. Super Nice wather for swimming, Amazing. Recomended

Report Check-In

Quiet, private, beautiful spot, exactly as described! Lovely sunset, too. Anything bigger than a regular car will need to either back in or back out. Some locals were hanging out with their motorcycles when I arrived, but kindly moved them to let me pull in.

Report Check-In

it's a pretty spot for swimming and camping. clear water.
the entrance is steep and a Little Rocky, but not problem with our heavy e350, we entered backwards because of the small space down on the water. a normal short car could turn around there.
shady and very quiet.

Report Check-In

1 - beautiful spot. Undisturbed first night apart from fishermen swimming past at 10pm. Hidden from the road.
2 - came back from tikal and it had rained a tiny bit. Made it down, barely turned around with lots of slipping and sliding, couldn't reverse back up. Was dry enough by the morning our 2wd vanagon made it out.
3 - a bloke came by on the second morning asking for money as said he cuts the grass. Wouldn't go despite our lack of English so gave him 50 pesos we had leftover. Didn't seem pleased. Left.
4 - sorry to scare the other overlanders who started reversing down in the dark then drove off fast when you saw our torch!! We just wanted to chat

Report Check-In

Beautiful small spot directly on the water. Quiet at night, shadow in the morning, enough wood around for making a fire. Access pretty steep and rocky, but we could do it with our 2wd vanagon.
