Everything like said before. It is now 185 Pula pPpN, dinner (book in advance) 240 Pula.

Report Check-In

Lovely campsite right by the waterhole where the elephants come. Campsite was well-priced at about P150 pppn. Enjoyed our morning game walk. Also saw spring hare. Joined for the braai dinner which was a great experience, having dinner with the elephants, even if the dinner was quite pricey at P240 pppn. Would definitely recommend.

Report Check-In

As always, such a treat in this unique environment . Passionate owners. New camp shade looks great . Always a must stop over for us

Report Check-In

Always a good stop. All the facilities and the Ellie’s.

Report Check-In

As always a pleasure to come and visit Elephant Sands.

Report Check-In

As always a great experience to view wild elephants close by. Unfortunately, certain foreign camper overlanders don’t understand that in Africa we don’t need to camp on top of one another and block out others views and a bit of etiquette and logic would go a long way

Report Check-In

We just stopped for lunch on our way through. Quite a lot on the menu was unavailable but the steak and chips was tasty.

The camp looks as though it has little shade but the bar area was partially covered providing some rest front the sun.

Watering hole is what everyone is here for of course. 40ish elephants during our stop, they were coming and going from all angles. One kept a good eye on the tourists but the others seemed happy enough. They enjoy the mud as well as a drink.

Report Check-In

Biggest attraction is elephants walking through camp to waterhole. Camp is windy and exposed with no designated campsites. Only really suitable for one night stop-over. Was over-crowded when we were there. Will find alternative next time.

Report Check-In

At the beginning it was funny to watch the four five elephants. Then it became more and more. 50-60 pieces. From then on it was not funny at all. Everyone had to fight for a sip of water. A single water pipe for sixty Elefanten☹️☹️☹️Und one elephant needs 200 l of water!!!
The pipe is placed directly in front of the terrace, full for the pleasure of the tourists. There is not acceptable.

For the tourists they make a swimming pool🥴🥴.
Everyone goes shower needs oodles of water for the toilet, for that it has more than enough water. Such a thing should not be supported.

Report Check-In

Lots of Elephants, but the puddle is dry. camp is fully booked.

Report Check-In

What a place. We saw 70+ elephants, perhaps more. Incredible watching them from only metres away drink, fight, cover themselves in mud etc. The campsite is open to the elephants and we had huge bull elephants come within a metre of our little tent.

For cyclists - the road in is 1.6km and mostly sandy - you’re gonna be pushing and you’ll likely be pushing past elephants so watch out! We had to wait for them to move out the way a few times. The water here is fairly salty, but it’s fine to drink. We filled our bottles with it and drank it on the ride the next day. When we were leaving the next morning we asked the owner if someone could give us and the bikes a lift to the road to avoid the sandy push / elephant dodge and they agreed without hesitation. What a place!

Report Check-In

Still an amazing experience and almost have become a Botswana "not to miss campsite" - even had wild dogs one morning chasing after some kudu

Report Check-In

we stayed 6 nights and we loved it : 5/5. It is a family business and if you want to know about their story, there is a free and interesting documentary in youtube : elephants refugees (1hour30min).
around 30 elephants every day during 24 hours. they were crossing the campsite and were very close to us.
No drinkable water because it is salty.
No shadow because the ellies were eating the trees so bring your awling ;-), sometimes no water because the ellies are breaking the waterpipe but the staff repair very quickly.
you have the choice between open air toilets/showers or roof toilets/showers : so, 2+3 showers for girls and 2+3 showers for boys !!! there is also an open air scullery.
bar, restaurant, clean and big pool. slow but free internet at the pool, restaurant, bar but not in the campsite: ok for whatsapp and yahoo but no more.
185 pula pp/pn.

Report Check-In

Paid 185 pula per person for the campsite. 2 ablution blocks open as well as a scullery. A few bushes around for some nice shade, as stated no power points. Elephants are the main attraction, nice bar area and good food. Good stopover location.

Report Check-In

185 pulas pp/pn.
The place is a must go exclusively because of the elephants (of course).
Its a one of kind space where you can see elephants REALLY close.
We saw them all day, specially during the night so is amazing!

About the camping it self: One of the worst structures we’ve been during this trip.
No shade. Nothing! It was 35 degrees and we couldn’t make lunch cause it was impossible to stay on the sun (zero protection).
There are no power lights (only on the bar) or individual water access.
The bathroom has only two showers and one of them was broken.
There was wifi on the bar but very slow and only from 09am to 09pm.

Bar prices:
Dinner: Buffet at 270 pulas
Small bottle of water: 10 pulas
Soft drinks: 15 pulas

Report Check-In

Visited twice as it’s a convenient stop over as we travel to Vic Falls. Camp sites are all in one area and pretty close together. There are chalets to rent if preferred. Generator is shut down at 10:00PM and stays off till about 6:00AM. WiFi is slow but useable for email and texts. If you have time the Bush Braai is a fun experience.

Report Check-In

Superb camp. We opted for a safari tent with dinner and breakfast included. The safari tents are very comfortable, with huge bed, mossy nets, bathroom and shower. The tent overlooks the waterhole, where 12 elephants came to drink. Excellent food at the restaurant. Highly recommend.

Report Check-In

Very nice place to watch lots of elephants from close range at the waterhole from your own campsite. Ablutions clean and nice warm shower. However, only 2 showers and maybe 20 or so camp pitches, so maybe another ablution block would be good. Lots of bull elephants visited all day, on and off. Restaurant maybe a bit on the pricier side, but food was ok. Free wifi at the restaurant area, quite slow. Great experience with elephants altogether. Only downside is that you’ll hear the cars from the road all the time (busy road as it goes to the Zim border, too). And electricity at sites would be a good add.
Camping was now 150 pula/pppn, so with that price a very nice place.

Report Check-In

Un lieu unique pour vivre une expérience exceptionnelle entourée des éléphants !

Nice camp with a unique experience of getting very close to elephants.
Price is now 210pula pppn (as of Jan 2023) - a bit expensive but worth it for the elephant experience.

Great place you see the elephants very close to the waterpool and walking by your car! there is a small swimming pool and a bar with cold drinks! Staff very friendly! when you want to see elephant this is a good place! shower is not so good and toilet with toiletpaper

On the pool for the elephants there are tents and houses the elephants walking through it!

We recommend this place! D&D

Good spot to get close to elephants. Staff friendly. The place looks a bit tired. In need of some maintenance and new energy.
Fine for an overnight stop.

Report Check-In

We,wont be coming back to either Tree Island or South Camp, Nxai Pan for two reasons. The entire booking system, which for Tree Island involves just the Department of Wildlife and National Parks, but for South Camp involves communicating with both DWNP and the contracted operator Xomae Camps is confusing, overpriced, wrecked by painfully slow communications (both parties often do not answer ones phone calls during normal business hours) and when considering what our nearly 2000 Pula cost us for the planned 2 nights at Tree Island and 2 nights at South Camp amounts to a rip off! The tracks from the entrance gate for Tree Island have been totally ruined due to drivers with 4x4s not engaging 4WD and thinking it is clever to drive on these loose sandy surfaces like this. The result is an eye ball rattling ride all the way at 10 kms/hr. For most of the route to the campsite the bush was burnt out and the same was true around the site yet no one told us when booking that fires had been burning there before we booked! The area was largely devoid of wildlife as a result. The road into Nxai Pan was described to us at the entrance as as bad if not worse than that into Tree Island plus the Xomae Camps staff could not find or verify our pre-booked payment made more than two weeks prior. So we turned around and headed out after one night only at Tree Island and without any nights at South Camp losing our money as a result. Before this, watching a staff member at DWNP offices in Francistown entering our details with one finger on the PC for the required park entry payment and permit took all of an hour. On top, the signs into and around Tree Island are unreadable and no maps of the area were available. The website for DWNP shows no physical street addresses for their offices in Botswana yet they tell you it is at these locations one can pay for entry to the parks under their control. The website for the DWNP HQ shows the wrong locations and is 3 years out of date! If Botswana wants to maintain its position in the competitive world of international tourism it better look inwardly at its tourism officials and their systems and sound a big wake up call or they will surely lose out to those who know how such amenities should be operated. Until then, our tourist money goes elsewhere......

Report Check-In

As described by previous entries. The main drawback to this popular spot is that as far as camping is concerned they do not apply any apparent limits to the number of campers they accept any night, and finding a spot to camp is entirely on a first come first served basis. If full the place becomes very crowded with vehicles and tents on top of one another plus the rudimentary ablutions will not cope. The spin off of having elephants so up close is that they frequently damage or totally wreck any facilities where there is water, and to make such facilities "ellie proof" is not only nearly impossible and expensive, but also results in hideous protection systems such as electric fencing and cement and steel pyramids on the ground to dissuade the ellies. But to be able to get close to these gentle giants this is perhaps one of the easiest places to do so.

Report Check-In

If you want to see elephants up close and have a good meal then this is a good place. Campsite is in full sun with no privacy. Ablutions not bad.

Report Check-In

You just come here to get close to the elephants and in that regard they deliver!

Campsites are basic with a braai place. Ablutions are okay with hot water showers. Restaurant is okay as well.

The place itself is nothing special. All the facilities are build around a waterhole. Road noise in the background at night. It doesn’t has a real charm but as mentioned before the elephants are the stars here.

Prices as of June 22
Camping 160 Pula
Dinner 240 Pula

Report Check-In

As described.... paid 160pula pp camping. Nice Bar and restaurant with good prices. Good ablutions, hot shower. Great place to stop over and absorb the Ellies up close.

Report Check-In

As stated. Excellent place for 24/7 very close encounters with elephants. Camping 130 pula; dinner 240 pula; kids half price. Ablutions clean and excellent. No electricity or water at sites, but staff very friendly and happy to charge via the office or whatever. Bar has a charge facility for phones etc. Excellent restaurant.

Report Check-In

Big open grass "stand where you want" camping around the big waterhole where Elephants drink almost 24/7. If ever you wanted a close encounter with wild Elephants this must be one of the top places.

Some sites has fire places and shared ablutions. No shade, water or electricity at camping.

Swimmingpool & Restaurant next to the waterhole. Game drives available as well as special catered wild camping (minimum 4 pax).

Report Check-In

Elephant Sands!!! Amazing!
Very special place. No better place to experience Elephants in their real habitat. Camping was great but no trees.
Ablution blocks were very clean.
Good food at the restaurant! P130 per person for camping.

Report Check-In

160 Pula pppn camping
Less elephants as it's the end of the wet season but still groups of bulls in the afternoon and at night.
You can now hear road noise most of the time, probably due to increased traffic since the bridge opened.

Report Check-In

What an amazing experience! It is simply unreal, that for 140 Pula, you can pitch your tent, right where elephants are walking by. I stayed 2 nights because I was in love. The pool, bar and lounge area is really nice with a very good atmosphere and very friendly staff.
I saw probably 100 elephants during those two days. Many if them walking straight past my tent!
Not park fees or anything. A highlight for me!

Report Check-In

A highlight on my trip.
Elephant Sands is an incredible experience. For just 130 pula you can pitch your tent 50 meters from a waterhole that attracts elephants throughout the day. The staff was very friendly, the bar and restaurant really nice. I loved the showers, you can see elephants pas by!
Best value for money H have experienced.

Report Check-In

We really liked the stay here. It was new years eve, it was the quietest night ever...
Swimming pool and bar area is very nice. Ablutions oke.
Very friendly staff and price oke

Report Check-In

Elefanten auch tagsüber. Ständiges Kommen und Gehen! Ansonsten eher lieblose Anlage und Campsites ohne Schatten! Dinner 180 Pula pP

Report Check-In

Arrived here just before dark and the staff were very welcoming and we could still order food. The campsite was a bit disappointing as it is merely a sandy pitch with poorly maintained braai pits and semi broken showers. The big attraction here is that the elephants come very close to the restaurant and walk through the campsite, but for us it felt a bit like a zoo as they were only there because there was no other water source nearby. It all felt a bit old fashioned and there are much better places to spot wild elephants in the national parks. For us it was just a stopover on our way to Zimbabwe, and were happy we didn't drive there specifically for this campsite.

Report Check-In

AMAZING! Haven’t seen so much Elephants on one spot at the same time. Enjoyed that place. Also the Dinner was nice (Buffet 180Ppp).

Report Check-In

For us a great lodge with many elephants at the waterhole especially during dry season from July to November. During this period it will be very difficult to find a better waterhole for Elefant watching. The Lodge is built around the waterhole and the elephants come very close (2-3 m). Watching them is great from the nice pool and bar area. Also from the campsite and the tents you have a unobstructed view. The campsite is nothing special: ok ablutions, no shade, no drinking water, no electricity, good wifi and plugs for electricity at the bar only. So go here for the elephants not for camping. 150 Pula p.P.

Report Check-In

as already described, nice place, plenty of elephants , 150 pppn, wifi rather slow

Report Check-In

Perfect spot as usual after a long drive from Groblers Bridge Border Post. The lodge suffered severe storm damage over Nov. 2020 but they have fully recovered and back in full swing. Close encounter with Elephants guaranteed. Campsite are close to the waterhole and facilities are decent. Good food and great staff!!!

Report Check-In

Even with little elephants it’s a nice place to camp. Many birds, the occasional giraffe and some impala. Price unfortunately was raised again: 150 pula pp.

Report Check-In

Reasonably good campsites with clean ablutions. Elephants walking through the grounds by the waterhole. 130 Pula pp. Friendly owners. Although 1,5 km from the road, you can hear the trucks in a distance which takes away some of the peaceful feeling.

Report Check-In

Don't go here.
We arrived here in late afternoon. Check - In procedure was very nice. We could choose a camping spot. Bar and alcohol sell was open, despite the official alcohol ban due to Covid regulations. Friends of hotel management family were hanging around the bar as well. By 8PM they started loud party music somewhere in the distance. Worst happend by 10PM: A car full of drunken and partying young people (those from the bar) drove towards the waterhole (not swimming pool!), while an elephant was in there, they jumped into the waterhole, screaming and swimming towards elephant. It took approx 45 min - hour until the few elephants close to the waterhole disappeared because of these people. Talked to the management the next morning and received no full understanding for misbehaviour, rather denying what had happend.
Be cautious with their horses: in the morning a group of horses came close, eating pieces of our travel map, which was lying on our table. Kicked over our table.
Neighbouring campers told us that horses had broken down their camping table one day ago.
Too sad to say but don't go!!!

Report Check-In

Enjoyed our stay here very much!
Friendly staff and nice options for the accommodation. We treated ourselves with one of the Chalets (No 6) as bad weather was approaching and they offered lower rates these days (1000P for the Chalet or Tent incl. breakfast).
Some tents around became victims of a bad storm recently but everything else looked fine. You can tell, they are working hard to keep the place in a good condition eventhough tourism is completely down.
To see the elephants coming to the water whole in the evening was amazing. We also felt completely safe, while being allowed to watch those beautiful animals so close by. They took good precautions around the bar/ pool area and I don't think it's too dangerous, if one uses caution as well when walking around the place after dark.
The ride to the camp used to be challenging on the last strech with a motorcycle because of the sandy road, but there is an improved and more solid gravel road next to it now.
We would certainly come back and recommend this place to friends.

Report Check-In

VERY BAD CAMPSITE FOR TENTS AND BIKES. Take care if you go to the campsite with a bicycle because there are many small sharpening seeds. I had 2 punctures in both tires. If you pinch your tent and you have an air mattress, watch out!! My friend had a puncture on his Thermarest!!!

Very expensive (130P pppn) just for the tent in this horrible campsite!! Dinner ok but expensive (140pp).
You will see many elefants because they go to the hole to drink. During the night they walk around the campsite, maybe very close to you.

Report Check-In

Absolutely fantastic place to pitch a tent with ellies roaming around all night. Ablutions spotless and really nice. Buffet dinner brilliant. Pool spotless. An excellent really cool experience. Scary riding bicycles in the area though.

Report Check-In

Going conform with the last review.
Campsite nothing special. Have been here a year ago. Since then no improvement only a price increase.
Still no shade at campsite, ablution new but already neglected/broken. Shower and toilet stalls built very flimsy and cheap. Elephants still find a way to get to the waste water. Pool very neglected and dirty, you wade through a mud layer of elephant manure. If it wouldn’t be for the elephants I would not come here again.
Pls take precautions with fruits and vegies. One elephant broke of my side mirror in the night when he sniffed at the car to get to it, deposited them in the kitchen then. Staff denied that the elis are after fruits, but they are!!!
Very windy, as no shelters. Depending on the direction of the wind you’re bathed in a dust cloud of fine elephant manure.
No WiFi, very weak signal with Btc/BeMobile

Report Check-In

Hardly any shade, no electricity. Ablutions were not very clean. They were building a new ablution block when we were there because elephants had ruined one of the blocks. Nice waterhole, nothing is fenced. Friendly staff, food was okay.

Report Check-In

We don't really understand what everyone is raving about. A big family of elephants is indeed very close to the bar area and that's impressive, but the camping site has absolutely NO shade, which is a no-goer in October heat. The swimming pool is so close to the ellies, that you don't really want to swim there anyway. The elephants have destroyed everything, even an ablution block.

Report Check-In

Great place for a stopover. Great experience, bucket list place to visit. Lodge is a few KM's from the main road along a gravel track with a few sandy parts. Can be done with a 2-wheel drive.
Waterhole which attracks lots of elephants. Close interactions with the elephants. Elephants at the waterhole can be watched from the restaurant with a drink in your hand and also from the swimmingpool very closely you can almost touch them.
Diner (BWP155) open buffet can be booked on the same day and is quite enjoyable.
Campsite (BWP 130/pppn) is unfenced and at night the elephants walk through the campsite. Hot showers.
In search for water in winter the elephants ruins all, digging for the drains of the ablution block and destroying taps and drains.

Report Check-In

Great place! We spoke to the owner. The price for camping 2019 is 110 pula ppn. And by the way: dogs are ALLOWED

Report Check-In

A must visit place on your travels, forget the comments on no atmosphere or unfriendly staff or anything else, this place is you either like it or not but this is Africa not murica, if not then don't go, campsites are far from perfect but elephants are destructive friendly giants so you are only provided with bbq spots, no water or electric points so come prepared, a word of warning, Lions are around this place and when I was there they had to chase them out, yes Lions WILL eat humans and cyclists are not excluded, sadly prices are creeping up to levels that only sees most campers hold out for the night then move on, ablutions ok with hot water easy 7/10 for true experience

Report Check-In

The elephants are great and you can see them very close. We saw many very big bulls. Ablutions good. Stuff not very welcoming. BUT this place is so busy (big campsite and about 20-30 charlets) and has no atmosphere! Cars coming and leaving frequently. The terrace is just concrete without any atmosphere. So you can see the elephants very close but it’s doesn’t feel like they are in their real habitat. And it feels like its all about business...

Report Check-In

For cyclist, the way between the road to this camp is little bit sandy but easy. I think the main problem is the elephants, they are little bit agressif and when you focus the floor you don’t see elephants and possible to be surprise and attack you, it’s happen to us...

Be carful ! ( many elephants )

We didn’t stay because people who work here was cold and not welcoming.
But nice place in afternoon for see elephants

Report Check-In

As below. All about the elephants, but worth the stay just for them. We also did a bush walk for 300 pula pp and it was worth it.

Report Check-In

all about the elephants.
the campsite itself is basic, but fine. the elephant watering hole is what makes the experience great. we had elephants literally 2m from our tent in the middle of the night.

Report Check-In

We don’t agree with the negative comments. Very beautiful designed complex with amazing viewing terrace, including pool. The campsite has a view of the water hole as well, so you can watch the elephants from your camper or tent the whole afternoon and evening. You’re not forced into ordering anything and can take you water with you to the terrace. Price of a beer 25 pula, not extremely expensive on such a location. The campsite is now 130 pula pp. For us it was worth it considering what we got: unique location, clean ablutions, swimming pool and shady places to sit. And around 20 elephants going on and off all afternoon! Plus many birds in the morning.

Report Check-In

Our first opinion: a campsite with desguisting food. We had lunch there. There is no shade for campers and the pool is dirty. We looked at the the wildspots, but the waterholes where empty this time of the year. So we stayed at the Elephant Sands.
Afterall we talked with the owner and we got chicken and spareribs from the BBQ for free. And they where delicious! The showers are very good and hot and also the toilet are good. The elephants came so close to our camp and the bar, in the end it was allright. It is now 130 pula per person. So still overpriced.

Report Check-In

Agree with the previous comment. They should create some protection against the sun, rain and wind. It’s a big open field. We had a huge thunderstorm at night and the wind made it impossible to sleep in a rooftop. The thunder was also a bit scary, being the highest point in the field. The elephants did make up for it, they were passing meters away. We were told by other campers that there were even lions at night next to our car, so be aware of that!! Ablutions bit tired but showers were nice and warm with good pressure! New 2019 price is 130 pula pp, but negotiated down to 110pp.

Report Check-In

Popular campsite, OK but was obviously great once - now looking a bit tired and in need of refreshing.
They say no shade because the eles destroyed the trees, but it's really no excuse - they provide shelter/shade at the permanent tents/bar/restaurant/etc. Campers not allowed to take own food and drink to these areas, forcing you to either bake in the sweltering sun or spend money at the bar/restaurant. They could provide a shelter in the campsite.

We were told there was no WiFi at all. It's a reasonable enough campsite with lovely owners, but I think it could be much better with just some small changes.

Based on the facilities the campsite is certainly overpriced at 110 pula pppn, but I guess you come for the elephants - and there was definitely an endless supply of plenty of those!

Report Check-In

Was rather busy place. No elefants in the camp but 1 on the way to the place. No powerpoints at the sites, no watertaps (surely because of Elefants), braai areas and some dustbin spread (not at every site).
Shower fine and hot water, washing area nice (only cold water). You hear the nearby road very well. 110Pppn for us to pricey for what you get,

Report Check-In

We loved this place. Heaps of elephants, day and night. P110 pp

Report Check-In

This is absolutely one of the coolest camping sites we've been to. For 100 pula pppn and being that close to elephants is just awesome. We enjoyed big groups of elephants the whole evening. Bar is decent priced, dinner buffets are tasty, if not there's braai-pits by the campsites. Clean showers and restrooms.
Highly recommend!

Report Check-In

If you want to see Elephants Here best place. We stayed two nights and saw 48 hours them non stop. You need to be careful because they are one meter far from you sometimes. We stayed in a little tent. 100 pula pppn. Food is nice, price starts 75 pula. And beer was 25 pula. We didn’t buy internet . They don’t have shadow in the camping site but pool area has enough shadow. When we were there it was quite and empty.

Report Check-In

Perfect spot to enjoy herds of elephants from the campsite. Just ignore the others and their noice

Report Check-In

Wonderful Camsite ! There is a waterhole in the middle, where the Elephants can take their bath :-) the owners are friendly, the dinner was excellent !! we saw elephants in the morning, in the afternoon and in the night - they were running 1 m from our Unimog ! - I would not sleep in a little tent here ;-) The only thing, that was awful was, that a helicopter with "the better people" landed at the Campsite - he flew 2-3m over my head and that was very disturbing.

Report Check-In

I guess if you didn't know that this place used to be better, it's really not that bad? There is a large, sandy/grassy camping area with braais and lights spaced throughout. They had no problem with my tent on the ground beside my bike. Ablutions are good, water is a bit salty. It was fairly busy with tour groups but still quite peaceful. I didn't see any elephants, but others said there had been some earlier that day and the night before. The boisterous Afrikaaner owner also had plenty of entertaining stories of lion encounters to tell around the firepit. They also have a wildlife conservation trust.

Report Check-In

We unfortunately have to confirm the previous comments. 100 pula pp, children under 11 years are 50 pula. No electricity, no shade, the waterhole is surrounded by permanent tents.

Report Check-In

Recepcionist was rude, no elephants, dried out waterhole, no pool, no wifi and no shadow. Wanted 100pula ppn, didn't stay her at the end. And really ugly place with a lot of new safari tents all over the place and around the waterhole that's probably why there is no elephants anymore

Report Check-In

not friendly for families, no WIFI, no electricity

Report Check-In

Wow this place is a shadow of its former self. Used to be incredible. Now no trees, no shady sandy campsites, and no elephants. Run down and unkept, with ugly platform tents everywhere. P90 pppn overpriced and not good at all... this used to be amazing what happened??

Report Check-In

bit of disapointing. rainy season. no elephants. Wifi was broken and no electricity. staff driving on and off with Quads. Abulution were fine but for the money (90) not worth it

Report Check-In

Great campsite with excellent staff which makes for a great break on the way to or from Kasane. Campsite ablutions great and campsites overlook waterhole which teams with elephants in the dry season. Bar is located in front of waterhole, but wifi is an additional 30Pula per person for campers.

Report Check-In

no camping with your own small tent beside a motobike. there are too many elephants around.

Report Check-In

One of our favourite spots- there is a drought so there were plenty of elephants walking around. You camp among the ellies. Tame bushbaby in the camp too. Nice ablutions, restaurant is ok and great bar. We ended up staying 3 nights. Wifi was available but not working and the elephants regularly dig into the water supply so be prepared to go without a shower. Camping was 90p pppn. Owners are friendly and we lived this spot. loins and leopard passed through the camp too.

Report Check-In

Great stopover to get up close to plenty of elephants, we had as many as 40 at the waterhole at the same time but there was a constant coming and going, campsite is nothing too special but there are some braai stands being built and the ablutions are fine, we had the buffet dinner for 140Pula (11,50€) pp which we enjoyed, they light a huge fire on the terrasse in the evening and we could watch the elephants till late at night with the moon rising red on the horizon, definitely recommend to come here, 90Pula (7,50€) pp

Report Check-In

Great place to get up close to elephants, simple camping with nice showers and toilets. Nice lodge and recommend to visit

Report Check-In

Great camping. Free to choose your own spot.Ablutions nice & recently updated. Hot water & hand soap! Nice locations with view over waterhole. Restaurant & bar . Food buffet & 140 P each & very good. Camping 90P pp night. No electric & only water is slightly salty. Elephants frequent the waterhole.

Amazing! The waterhole is the place to be for the local elephants, they will be present almost continuously. There are ensuite tents and a lot of camping spots with braai. The artesian tap water is a bit salty but healthy to drink. The owners are delightful and will tell you all you want to know about the elephants and their story. Totally worth the money! 90 pula pp

Good place to see elephants from real close but it does have a bit of a "zoo-factor". We saw over 80 elephants at night at the end of the dry season. I wouldn't pitch up my dome tent when it is crowded with elephants, we spoke with a guy where an elpehant stept on his tent, next to his head!
