Again corrupt police close to Barranquilla, at the entrance of the bridge police stopped us, as we were supposedly driving too fast. Very aggressive, threatened to impound the car after we refused to pay. We’re forced to pay on the spot 200,000 COP

I just want to point out that you are never forced to pay on the spot in Colombia. Take the ticket with a smile. Say that you have no money on you. Leave the country in Ecuador (they have no system to track tickets on foreign cars), and smile.
