Ochoco National Forest - Off highway 26 about 7 minutes up a paved road (Buck Point Rd / NF-12) with a few switchbacks, this great free campground has beautiful trees, nice sites and some views. The back of the campground has a trailhead. Quiet and clean. The Forest Service rangers frequent the site and are very nice and informative.

probably a nice place but not in during hunting season. More than full when we tried to stay there. creepy atmosphere, so we left.
Report Check-InGreat free camping spot!!! has a nice trail to hike too. Good for medium size trailers and RVs. W.e have a 25ft trailer. Paved road all the way!!😊
Report Check-InGreat spot under the trees and with a bit of relief from the heat on the main road. Flies are abundant but bug spray and they're nothing but noise.
Report Check-InRemote spot, super easy to get up to following the paved road. Fire pits and picnic tables were available in most spots. Totally free BLM land.
Report Check-InDecent campground far enough off the main road that it wasn't busy in middle of August. Easily accessible by larger vehicles - we made it no problem in a 2wd sprinter.
Only downside was the horrible Wasp issue! We spent 99% of the time here inside the van due to swarming bugs/wasps... Could just be the time of year we came.
Report Check-InNice site, about 6 sites under the trees. Central pit toilet. We saw loads of elk on the way up, the actual camp site is fenced and has a cattle grid to prevent them getting too close. Only 1 other camper here, peaceful and secluded.
