We came through in a short old colorful school bus. We got stopped at every single point of inspection besides this one. We were waved through.

They stopped us and searched the car for `armas/drogas` but they didnt found anything so we could drive on .. Friendly officers..

They asked us to park right for some questions and inspection. They asked our passport, we gave them the photocopies we had in front, the originals being hidden. They looked quickly inside, realizing it was that beds, they were satisfied and wished us a good trip!

Ils nous ont demandé de nous stationner à droite pour quelques questions et inspection. Ils ont demandé notre passeport, nous leur avons donné les photocopies que nous avions à l'avant, les originaux étant cachés. Ils ont regardé rapidement à l'intérieur, réalisant que c'était que des lits, ils étaient satisfaits et nous ont souhaité bon voyage!

Police Officers were staying on both sides.
To Merida: A car got inpected
To Campeche: Waved a truck and us through.
He was smiling and waving kindly. we smiled and waved back. Very nice experience!

A young militar stopped us to ask Where we came from and Where we were going and the reason of the trip. When we said turism he let us go. Quick stop.

army checkpoint. curious to take a look inside so waved us aside. very friendly told us they control in accordance with the law. opened the back they peakes in and wished us a safe journey.

The check point is there but there was only a few men and they did not stop us with our van and foreign license plates... Sunday break?

We got checked. Pretty thorough inspection (looking in each box, drawer, toiletry kit, etc) but friendly. Took about 15 minutes.

Just slowed down and drove off. Mostly vendors and some police that didn't bother.

No probs here. Mostly vendors selling stuff. Not stopped nor waved thru...no one appeared to pay us much attention.

No problems at all. Traveling in lance truck camper with surfboards and kayak. Military was cordial and wanted to look inside camper. Amazed at the small fridge.
