Description

Beautiful, small coffee finca and "organic, natural, sustainable, biodynamic" farm. Very friendly, energetic owner Javier and his lovely wife Ana will welcome you with open arms and a cup of coffee. Javier speaks very clear Spanish and is easy to understand. He says you can camp wherever, but there's plenty of level space for 3 or so rigs right at the entrance. No height restrictions, but narrow road to get there. No 4x4 required. Camping was quoted at 10,000 COP p/p. He does a tour of his finca for 50,000 p/p as well. His tour is better than visiting any Botanical Garden! If you do the tour, he might not charge you for camping. He also sells roasted coffee grown here, 40,000 COP for 500grams. There is a clean bathroom outside with toilet seat and TP, even soap and a hand towel! Water from the tap (agua de la llave) is not potable, but "boiled you can drink it." Also, the finca has 7 friendly dogs.
Offers breakfast, if asked day before.

Mixed feelings about this one. He's a real character, interesting to spend some time with and his heart is in the right place. But he's quite intense and the setup isn't ideal for camping (very little room, quite a lot of dog poo around). Pricing wasn't clear and felt a little high when we came to leave (he charged full price for our two kids).

This is a MUST. Came here cycling, camped one night 10k/p/night. You can use everything they have and they give a lot too: coffee, juice, marijuana (be careful: I was goddamn high), etc. Javier talks with passion about everything, that's fantastic. He has more energy than you will ever have 😅

We had a wonderful 2 nights stay at Javier and Ana's finca. It's the real authentic finca that you have here. Nothing to fancy but a real exchange about coffee culture. We did the tour (50.000 cop/pp) where you have the full explanation about coffee : production, history, crisis, permaculture vs monoculture, degustation + a visit of the finca : a great little walk around, bird explanations and a super collection of helicodae flowers.
Camping : good hot shower, wifi, laundry machine + acces to toilets for 10.000 cop/pp per night (if you take the tour). We were also offered juice or coffee every morning, delicious ! The installations are simple but very sufficient and better than lots of other places we've seen elsewhere. We recommend it 100%!

we came by bycicle and were allowed to camp for 20‘000 cop/ 2 nights (and we also did the coffeetour for 50‘000/per person incl. lunch). the place and the view is very nice, but the finca it self is run down. the owner couple is building things here and there but at the moment nothing is really finished. There are many other fincas which looked much nicer.

Very nice experience with Javier and his wife Ana in their organic and sustainable finca. Their finca is a small paradise very quiet, the view from the house / camping is beautiful. Javier offers a 3 hour tour in his beautiful property where you will learn about coffee and plants. Javier is one of the best guides we have had and it makes you feel at home. Their coffee is delicious and inexpensive. We recommend this finca, we loved it !

If you want a truly coffee experience with wonderful people, you should definitely come there!!! 3 main reasons for that : 1. Javier makes delicious coffee in a natural way, cares about reforestation and is really knowledgeable about coffee production in the area, 2. Javier and his wife Ana are amazing people, so kind, welcoming and interesting to talk with, we spent a wonderful time with them 3. the plants, flowers (botanic garden in the property) and wildlife (hummingbirds, tons of birds, fluo green frogs). Highly recomended !!!

Javier and Anna are very lovely and welcoming people. We came to do the coffee tour, which took us over 3 hours - always in company of his 8 funny dogs. Javier will show you everything from the coffee trees to the bamboo forest, the cows, all the flowers and the coffee making process. The tour was 30‘000cop/pp and 250g self-made coffee 9‘000cop.
After the tour we were invited to camp for free. Prepare to drink a lot of coffee!

REALLY recommended!

This is a must-do in the Coffee area. Javier and Ana used to be coffee Farmers for 50 years. They recently switched to organic and are planting trees instead of coffee - Javier will tell you why in the ecological walk he offers over the finca.
We camped there and were awaked by a wonderful concert of the birds that come in the morning. We saw the cows getting milked by hand. Ana made us so much coffee as we wanted. We felt incredibly welcome. No problems with our two dogs. The organic coffee they produce is delicious, they show you the whole process and you can buy it also. Hot shower and good WiFi.
