We stayed atthe Estancia Rio Mitre rental house and although the location was good, we pain US $170/night for 2 nights and had no running hot or cold water. We informed the owner but he did nothing to correct the problem. We requested a refund but he refused. I would avoid this rental at all costs

We were driving back from a hike when we noticed this beautiful place. We stopped in for dinner, but the prices were outrageously expensive and not filling at all. We payed $5500 per person for a tiny steak and salad (no side dishes). I would recommend asking the prices beforehand - our fault for not doing so. A can of quilmes was $1000, a small glass of wine was $1000 (it was good) and a fruit salad for dessert (also good) was also $1000 per person. $17000 in total. It was twice the price of the fancy steak restaurant we went to the night before in Calafate. And, we were still hungry when we left. Maybe the horseback riding is a better value.

Nice argentina equivalent of staying with a farmer. Gorgeous view and perfect steaks and wine for dinner.
You can park your van everywhere on the estancia between the sheeps. They are very curious towards you. There are only a few flat spots.
We paid 19500 pesos for one night 2 people, two steak, wine and muffins

Absolutely stunning place to stay. 30 km outside El calafate. Very simple site with one shower. Toilets were clean. Food available in the restaurant. They were happy for us to use their kitchen to make breakfast. We paid usd60 for one night in mini van for two people plus two steak dinners plus two bottles of wine.

friendly welcome. Rudimentury bathroom. paid 5000 pesos for 2 persons and a camper. the animals were curious and they walked freely around the campingplace.
great view.

nice place, friendly guy but he careful. he charged us 1000ARP per person for our one 4x4 roof top tent.

Very beautiful estancia with animals (sheep, dogs, chickens, horse, tame baby guanaco). Very, very, beautiful sunset and very hospitable hosts. They offer some drinks and food in their small restaurant (we cooked ourselves). Paid 2000 in total for the rooftop tent van with 2p. Has solar shower. Recommended.

We went there after the boat tour to see the glaciers Upsala & Spegazzini and really had a great time.
Got there at 9pm with our 4x4 equipped with a roof tent. They immediately indicated the perfect spot to be protected of the wind (we actually were lucky and got no wind at all - it was totally silent and so peaceful!)
Lovely diner (perfectly cooked steak with nice salad and excellent Malbec red wine :)).
Warm shower, amazing landscapes, animals everywhere and super friendly (including a baby guanaco they rescued recently who behaves like a dog and that you can touch, so cute!)
Amazing experience.
We paid 2,000 for the night (as everywhere in Argentina, prices and currency value have changed a lot since 2020) - still very cheap for the experience and kindness of the hosts!

This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen, especially at sunset or sunrise. You can go to Perito Moreno Glacier in just 45min and be there before the crowds show up. You can also do some hiling around or go on a horseback tour. The owner and his assistans are very kind. You can camp anywhere you want, but they offer you to stay inside an fenced area as there are many different animals around. They also offer you to use the kitchen or to have dinner (local steak). The shower sadly was mostly cold. But with the stack in the main buliding, you can warm up after all. Great place!

We spent here one quiet night and had a very good dinner (bife with salat for 850 Ars pp). The restaurant/cafe has a beautiful view. They also serve cakes, alfajores and coffee. If you like to have dinner it's recommended to contact the family before your arrival (I forgot to ask for a whatsapp number). The solar shower was very hot.

very pleasant place to stay. we pay 600 for the motor home and 2600 for horse ridding. My dauther of 6 years old can do horse ridding and she has never ridding horse before.
Lot of animals.
Staff very friendly.
you can eat meat for dinner it's excellent

People there are very friendly. Solar shower so it’s not always hot. It was 600 AR for the camping car and 2600 for a horse riding of 2 hours. There is a lot of animals and the view is beautiful. It’s nice to stay there to rest before or after the Perito Moreno.

What a nice place! We had such a great time here, amazing view, welcoming people and great meat! Animals everywhere: sheep, lam, beef, chicken, dogs, condors, horses,...We were in camper van, stay only one night and get a ride of horse non planned in the morning, was 2000 pesos. I totally recommend it!

nice Camping. No Internet or Kirchen. very windy and 2 crazy sheeps. 250pp. Toilet flush works...with a bucket! warning about the toilet Lock. (push and Turn) I have been stuck for 5 minutes Till i got it...best View all over el calafate

Very beautiful spot, but they charge 500 Pesos per tent which is way too much for one person. Very little water in the shower and toilet flushes don’t work.

stayed there for one night next to the house as it was windy. 250pp. hot showers in the house with toilets. gorgeous views. goats and horses in the field. we ate there in the evening nice piece of beef grilled on the woodfire with a nice salad a bottle of wine. in the morning with did a horse ride for 2 hours (1200pp) , when we came there was a pig (from the estancia) being roasted on a pit fire , so we stayed for lunch! very friendly. the owner parents were from Bilbao, Spain. also princess Beatrice (uk) stayed there with some friends 8 years ago... paper in the loo in the restaurant, if it has tun out just ask... they are in the process of refreshing their rooms/ cabañas...

Stayed here one night before going to Perito Moreno. Very friendly staff that showed us where to park and the bathrooms (no hot water for the shower though - just cold). Was 250 per person in Argentina pesos. We had a fun evening with the goats, chickens, horses that roam the property and had a cup of tea in the restaurant that night with beautiful views of the sunset over the mountains. Staff didn't speak english and we had to communicate in our poor to okay spanish.

Ended up staying 2 nights as people were very friendly and welcoming, you stay on the farmland which is not very leveled . Could fins a good place though for my trailer, any kind of car, van , motorhome is good, Tent my be a bit problematic as the goats roam around freely ,they also have pigs and other animals, the Restaurant offers basic but good food, it is close to the entrance gate of the National Park and 50 km out of town , bathroom in the restaurant had no seat nor paper, 200 pesos for this basic type camping is a bit on the expensive side - yes, but great insight in Argentinian way of life - worth it for me

Nice friendly family who offer their land to camp, very simple. We didn’t stay, as they would ask 200 pesos even if the showers had only cold water, because they had problems with the gas.
