This place! Highly recommended. The owners Ignacio and Carmen are so nice and welcoming. We extended our stay with 3 nights. Hot shower, toilets, hammocks and a really good restaurant (best pizza.) The place is close to Mindo but also close to the butterfly farm en the ‘cabla’s. You can leave the campervan en walk everywhere if you like. Safe place, nice dogs, nice labyrint. They also rent the sweetest houses and they look perfect (and clean.)

Perfect for birdwatching also!

We really enjoyed our stay, came for two nights stayed four. Lots of room for our truck and camper. Took full advantage of the Restaurant the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Easy walk to town, very well situated. Highly recommend!

Their labyrinthe is really nice, do it! Not a lot of bird to see. We go by walk at Mariposario and take the télésiège under the forest to do a walk at waterfalls.

What a great discovery. You have uncommon places to sleep (roulotte), great breakfast, nice constructions, a bambú labyrinth, Pétanque pitches!!! And what charming people there!!! Ask for Ignacio 69... and if you are self confident, challenge him at the pétanque...

The Price for cabaña was 40$ pppn! It‘s a bit expensive. But nice place, a lot of birds to see.

pro: hot shower, good wifi, quiet, nice owner and staff, power incl
contra: empty (nothing going on), not many birds to see, restaurant not cheap but didnt try (pizza 10-12$, cheesefondue for two 31$)

Agree with all above. Nice place. But one additional information for big trucks like ours: we had to cut a lot of boughs on the way and in their garden. For the length it was ok, but a truck bigger than ours (9.5 m) could get problems.

A really lovely place where we stayed 2 days. The owners are very Nice, the place is quiet and beautiful. The restaurant offers very Good meals for a good price ( rostis, cheese fondue, very fresh fish, pizzas and don't Forget To taste the chocolate cone!)
We paid 10 dollars per night. Hot showers, good wifi.
Really worth a stop !

They don't have much space for vehicle camping, and it is just in their gravel carpark. The rest of the place is beautiful though. Nice owner.

Fantastic place with accommodation on gypsy wagon style accommodation. Food is excellent and the restaurant building itself is beautiful. Very welcoming staff. Very close to the Marioosario (butterfly garden) and many other local atractions yet far enough to be absolutely peaceful. Wake up with the singing of thousands of birds and have a hearty breakfast whilst watching many types of hummingbirds feed a couple of meters away! Restaurant has its own wooden oven and bread & pizza are delicious. Very much recommended

A good place to stay just outside of Mindo. Friendly owners and decent price at $5/pp. Although it's not exactly a campground there is electricity, wifi and hot showers in one of the cabanas. Hummingbirds and other species right by the restaurant window.

We came in and had the place to ourselves. The manager is super friendly, showed us the birds at the feeding area and lent is a guidebook to read through. possibility of 20 different hummingbirds feeding at the same place. Also saw toucan. He was good to chat with and has a good knowledge of flora and birds of the area and globally. Fun maze to get lost in (included a picture of the middle of the maze. We paid $5 per person but was worth it. If you get up early it is great for birdwatching.
Didn't use the restaurant but the cheeze fondu looks awesome and I really appreciated the architecture of the building.

Excellent place to stay! We parked our bi rig can and camped in it in their parking space behind the house. Use of shower and toilet in their house. $5/per vehicle/night. Restaurant on premises with a wood fired oven baking bread and pizzas, as well as meats and salads available. Don't miss walking their labyrinth they have created through their beautiful property! A fun experience!

located 2km from the town centre (on the road leading to the Butterfly Farm). $5 per car/night. You can also rent a unique "roulotte" (caravan) for $35 per person (with breakfast included). The restaurant is housed in a light and airy wooden building with wide panoramic windows that blends perfectly with the cloud forest that surrounds it. Enjoy a wood-oven pizza while you observe hummingbirds. clean bathroom in the restaurant. Shower in the house. They are building new showers for campers. Libardo is extremely friendly and helpful!
