Big Flat | Established Campground

OPEN with new rules and a small fee! Reservations are required via Reserve America. The sites are lettered around the big flat parking lot from A to I. The fee per night is $10 for PA residents or $15 for out-of-staters. Max stay is 7 days. There is NO Verizon signal. We had luck with our Starlink - sites A, B, C would be best. Site J does not exist. It has been pretty quiet. We have stayed a week and it only got busy on the weekend with at least one site open. There is a vault toilet in the parking lot next to us (first left after turning on the dirt road). There were a few locals, that came up to the camping lot with their horse trailers for the day.

parking area for people in smaller rigs. unfortunately this week it is closed due to fire department training. check online for updates. ended up going to the Walmart a town close by.

big open field behind the main parking area. spend the night here between a two day concert in Shippensburg. shared with 2 RVs, and 2+ tent/car campers. very peaceful and no one bothered us. chemical toilets in the main parking area are smelly but present. at&t cell service is spotty at best.

Spent one night here, large empty parking lot. Bear proof garbage bins and toilet facilities. A couple picnic tables and information for ATV trails in the area. There is a a RV campground down the road so felt comfortable staying alone knowing there were people nearby if I needed assistance.

Must seek permission from the ranger First. There are 2 parking lots. The second one has half grass half gravel and is the best.
