Asked if we could camp behind this restaurant. Flat gravel lot away from the road with nice view.
Tienda sells beer and homemade yogurt and cheeses.

We checked the informal campsites in Saraguro but they were not the kind of places where we would like to sleep in the van. Luckily we found Runa Wasi. Beautiful view and the night was peaceful even though there were some traffic on the road. We asked permission for camping from the restaurant. They didn’t want money but we bought something from their shop. The toilets are very clean.
Report Check-InWe had eaten at Runa Wasi cafe about a month ago when we were passing by and really enjoyed it. This time we decide to stay overnight in our rig in the parking lot. The food at the cafe was excellent again. We also purchased fresh cheese, chocolate, and drinks from the store. They have three large cheese fridges, so there is lots to choose from. Even if you don't stay overnight, I think stopping at the store or grabbing a lunch is definitely a nice break from the drive. We also had breakfast in the morning, $7 for two people. We were not charged for camping.
Report Check-InHicimos noche acá, la gente muy tranquila nos dejaron quedarnos y conectar algunas cosas en el restaurante. Hay wifi libre y algunas canillas de agua alrededor
Report Check-InHad a quiet night here and were allowed to use the bathrooms.
Delicious cheese for sale.
good location for one night. stood at the parkinglot beside the artesanìa and queso house for free. by using electricity you have to pay 5$. open wifi does not reach the parkinglot. claro doesn't work here. not too noisy during the night.
Report Check-InHotel/restaurant and small shop. Nice view. We parked on the lawn behind the restaurant building. Free of charge! Use of toilets, no other facilities.
Report Check-InWe rent a hut (with bathroom) in the fields at the back of the plot for 15$ a night. An awesome view on the mountains.
An original and bucolic option; better for us that to pay the same price and sleep in the car.
Restaurant in this place is OK but you'd rather ask for prices before order...
Asked if we could camp behind this restaurant. Flat gravel lot away from the road with nice view. They asked for $15 per vehicle and we countered with $10. We suggest that future travelers offer $8 or even $6. Flush toilets. Supposedly hot showers are available too but we didn't see or use them. Tienda sells beer and homemade yogurt and cheeses. We paid $10 per vehicle to camp. Stayed here with Lost in the Americas.
