Something not right?

Description

This is a gorgeous spot, right by the ocean. There's a green grassy mowed lawn, palm trees, a balustrade along the water, and an arch over the stairs down to the beach. The beach comes and goes depending on the state of the tide. Bathrooms are rudimentary but functional, with cold showers.

I ended up staying a few nights. One day was a Mexican holiday, and a few other people showed up, but the other days I had the place to myself. Bugs weren't bad when I was here. They wanted 200 pesos, gave me 150 without electricity. Perfect spot for sunsets!

Property easy to find and well kept. One other camper but not seen any host or workers. Bathrooms work. Right on water. Lots of room. A little road noise but gets drowned out by the waves!

just couple of updates - no wifi at all, little to no garbage, no beach, 250 pesos for 2 with water and electricity. nice sunset. bathrooms are fairly clean, only cold shower

Report Check-In

A chain link fence with narrow gates has been installed along the road side of the property. Entering the property with large rigs is going to be difficult. I had to pass on by this season with a 36’ coach and tow.

Not as nice as last year. Lots of garbage everywhere. Wifi not working. Bathrooms not clean. 200 pesos. Decided not to stay.

Nice spot next to ocean looking down from the sea wall. Took a nice swim straight out from Banyon tree where there’s a sandy spot clear out. To avoid bug issues here and anywhere in area: before sundown put on long pants, socks and shoes. A mat or rug helps. We were able to cook and eat outside comfortably this way. Otherwise, it’s a problem! An hour after it gets dark the bugs abate. Campground is brightly lit. Near the road but not much traffic at night. Others told us to put our chairs etc away at night based on the theft of a battery left under a truck a few years back. Family from nearby Tepic put their stuff away so we did too. Seemed safe here though.

Nice place, a bit rundown but fine. Good walking beach and swimming. 200 pesos without electric. Friendly folks staying here.

As described. The restaurant is decent but watch out! at sunset the sand fleas come out and ate me alive. a week later and my legs and feet still itch like crazy. stayed one night for $200MX. The sign said they had WiFi but it wasn't on.

Staying with Diego. Large open grassy (well kept) lot with tons of room. Bathrooms and cold shower 200 mex for all hookups We paid 150 sin Electric.
10 minute walk to town of aticama. Surf break at the bridge over the river right in town Quiet peaceful and great place to stretch out. WiFi poor even near house. Only 2 bars of 3g telcel. Was really nice to land here after grocery shopping and fighting mazatlan traffic. Just ocean view and waves crash on rocks below Stayed 2 nights, cleaned rig, filled water tanks etc. had the place to ourselves !!!!

We stayed here one night. Just outside of Aticama. It also looks like it has been described on iOverlander as Playa Amor, but there is another place called Playa Amor 50 yards up the road. It’s a bit confusing.

This is the one with the concrete arch and fencing. Diego is a helpful host. We paid $150mxp without electric hook-ups, but he asked originally for $200.

Nice place. Bathrooms are clean. Glad to have someone living on-site 24hrs as we had 5 locals in just under an hour warn us about the crime in the area and that it is not safe to wild camp or street camp.

We didn’t use the showers so not sure how they are. WiFi works well, closer to the house is better. Very pretty green grass. We haven’t checked out the beach as it was evening when we arrived.
