Something not right?

Description

This sizable reservoir has small established campgrounds on the east and west sides. I opted for wild camping on the south side, on the bluff overlooking the lake. The campgrounds have toilets and a few picnic tables. The wild camping has no facilities. Whichever you choose, it's free!

Turned off 191 and road is paved at the very beginning then dirt after the cattle guard. It was muddy and we were slipping after about 10ft in the mud. Threw it in reverse and headed to a different spot. FWD promaster for reference.

Report Check-In

Spent the night at this location. It is not cleanly plowed in the winter, but I was able to get back to the campsites in my 2WD ram pro master with chains. Overall, I’ll be careful accessing in the winter, but it was a nice place to spend the night.

so peaceful and nice. We took the first pull off on the left and set up camp. Had a beautiful sunset and sunrise. The bugs are no joke at night but bug spray seemed to keep them at bay. There was one other camper probably 200 yards or so away

Don’t come here when it is railing!
We drove a couple of feet and were almost stuck with our van in the dirtroad. We turned around and slept somewhere else.

Report Check-In

The road is close to the South and East camps. But the road to West is open, and there are some dispersed spot that are not at the campground. I camped on the SW corner near the beach (there was already a fire ring built).
bugs are bad at night but not in the morning. Sunset was minimal, but got a wonderful Sunrise over the reservoir. Reservoir seemed a little low (but 1st time here). Great camp. Wild Horses charged down the hill to get some water and a bath after sunset... what a rush! Beautiful.

Fantastic spot! Quiet and beautiful with lots of room to stretch your legs! Be aware if rain is in the forecast it will be a sticky muddy mess. Be sure to plan your stay accordingly. Great T-Mobile, zero Verizon.

Fantastic spot all around! I always stay here when I’m in the area! I have full bars on T-Mobile, 5G. (Check me out on IG: our_heroes_graves)

Report Check-In

Rusty gravel/dirt road in off the highway, at least one other camper here 100’+ away and maybe more around this huge lake. I pulled into the first pull off which has a fire pit and great view. Moderate Verizon cell coverage.

Report Check-In

Great place for the night. A few others scattered around the lake. Beautiful sunrise. Stars are unreal at night.

Report Check-In

Nice location even in winter! accessible road and minimal spot in pull-off. fire ring covered in snow. got down to just below zero, but we were warm inside. Full moon made the lake beautiful and it was very quiet here.

Report Check-In

Great views of the resivor and mountains... 1.5 miles of dirt road that is moderately rough. Very quiet.
