not possible anymore to camp here for a night...

Report Check-In

Went there to ask if we could spend the night before the border and they refuse. The guy at the reception said he was not able to have the authorization.

Report Check-In

Very friendly towards cyclist. Also let me shower

directly asked if i was looking for a spot to sleep :p stayed in the mechanic workshop with my bike and my tent. let me use shower and kitchen. Very friendly!

Stayed here for 1 night between borders. We arrived at dusk and they said we could stay, but need to leave by 6am, which was fine. Washrooms and cold showers were a nice treat. Not much space for parking, kinda in the back junk yard of the fire station. We checked the other parking lots on iOverlander and felt this one was the safest, others aren’t gated.

Report Check-In

We stayed for one night for free and felt very safe. The Bomberos are helpful and friendly. We can used the shower and toilet.

we could park in the backyard just like we did two years ago. Friendly People. water, electricity, bathrooms. no Wi-Fi. Nice place to stay before crossing the border.

We visited the firemen, they gave us a place in the patio, a bathroom with a cold shower, they lent us the kitchen and there was room to do laundry. we had trouble getting the wi-fi because nobody knew or wanted to pass the password ([Password removed by Moderator.]) and so you don't have to bother, we leave it here. The head of the shift we went to told us that he could receive us only for one day, that if we needed more, he would have to expose his superiors. But we stayed only one day

Super Friendly bomberos, good and safe place for one night. Shower, water and kitchen are free and so good after all day travelling. 40 minutes to Nicaragua border

Report Check-In

All as described below... they were slightly cautious at 1st, made a little worse by our poor Spanish but after they took our details from the passports, the Chief showed us around and offered us all of the services described below... super friendly 👍

Recommended. Free and safe, the bomberos are very hospitable. Great for a peanut.

We stayed here the night before we crossed into Nicaragua. It was allready dark and the Fireman who let us in was very friendly! He opened also the Womans bathroom just for me. Didn‘t expect to get a shower and wifi that evening. We had to show our Passports. Perfect stay for a night for free! Felt very, very save.

If you are lucky you can park under the roof. Also they have a nice kitchen, hot showers and a chill out area with sofas...all for free!

Report Check-In

I’d say it’s safe to say cycle tourists camping are good to stay here. They have a dirt/grass lot in the back with their out of commission pick up trucks. They’ll hold on to your passport till ya leave in the morning. Nice group of folks.
